Securom ...?
POSTED ON 07/24/10
I need to confirm this... but I read on the forums that someone can\'t play their sims 3 game because of securom issues...?

After EA promised that there would not be securom in the sims 3?

*tears welling up*

I am going to look for answers.

I am going to stop playing all together, and uninstall sims 3, if there is securom on my computer because of EA.

Please never never ever lie to me.

You would not like me if you lie to me.

\" The Sims 3 digital download PRODUCT uses SecuROM digital rights management technology provided by Sony DADC Austria AG. For more information about SecuROM, visit http:/faq.securom.com/.\"

Though I am happy not to have digital copies of the game... I do download patches and stuff from the store. Do they include any kind of securom?
lol you DO understand: giving me back my joy

*hugs everyone responsible for setting things right with the vaindenburger set on sale, properly*

This is how you win back my trust, this is how you give me back my joy in playing the sims. Thank you for putting the set back on sale for half price.

I shall now have to start up the game to see what it looks like.

25 cents per object is still a lot of real money for pixels and computations, but okay, if it brings me fun and entertainment, you win.

Mind you: more than 25 cents per object... nope.
They did something very right

*thumbs up* I am happy about the new simpage look. I am not going to wonder why it had to take so long to get this right. I am not going to complain because I am just happy the page is now customisable.

Nice work.

I am still not playing the sims. Too many tings to do that I enjoy more.

Now, next task: lower the cost in the sims 3 store. :P
The deal that was not a deal, but pretended to be a deal afterwards
POSTED ON 07/13/10
Right now, in the store, there is a lie.

The set that was offered as a daily deal last saturday was not a deal, but for full price. The full price being 900 points.

They changed the deal afterwards. It now says the set was on sale for 450 points when it was not. I hope that the few unlucky buyers do get their points back.

Lies, lies, lies. It is ugly. It pushes customers away. How can I ever spend points in the store now? You\'re just taking my money. What do I really get in return?

Good thing I am leaning towards other new games that are coming out. I\'ll be playing other games, with the sims just a dim memory of yesterday.

buh-bye.
Deal of the day, not so much

For once I was actually gasping at the deal of the day. I loved the sets of club V. furniture and at 450 points would have been perfectly priced.

However, they offered the \'deal\' at full price of 900 points. Which I am not going to hand over. Mainly because I dont have 900 points.

Fortunately many people at the forums have already pointed this out, but up till now EA or site staff has not changed the price from 900 to 450. Because it SHOULD be 450. Or it is not a Daily Deal. Is it?

I also noticed that the costs of the simpoints have been amended. I still bought the points at a rate of 1.2 euros for 100 points. Now at least the Dutch can pay 1 euro to every 100 points. Makes converting the prices of the store easier too.

But it is mistakes like not down pricing the deal of the day that will make me stay away from the store. You know what? I am going to play Roller coaster tycoon again. Or Tropico 3. I hardly touched that. *is off*
