Skyrim

I\'ve become enthralled by Skyrim (that\'s a joke for you Norse fans), but I will be back with new houses... eventually.

The Little Blue Barn
POSTED ON 11/07/11
I was wondering if I could fit a horse on a smaller lot. I\'ve noticed that many players have trouble placing or rezzing the larger lots, and 10x10s are increasingly popular! Well, I didn\'t attempt a 10x10, but this 20x30 is a wee bit more manageable.

I liked the idea of a converted barn. I\'d once visited a converted mill, and fell in love with it. So the Little Blue Barn has been upgraded with living quarters and modern conveniences while still having room for a stall.

Horses and other pets can walk right out into the yard, while sims climb the stairs to the two upper storeys. The main level is a combined living/dining/kitchen area, while the upper level contains 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Now that\'s relaxing!

The yard includes a fenced pasture, fenced garden, and a patio with grill, chess table, and easel.

I\'ve been having a little trouble placing the horse balls. If your horse has a fit about it, you can easily replace it with two jumps.

It\'s quite cute, and perfect for a couple or family with a child and an infant. No CC, except I think the solar panels come from the store. Items from Pets, WA, AMB and NL EPs.
Catoctin Bridge Park
POSTED ON 11/07/11
I went hiking last weekend amongst the autumn splendor and was inspired to add a covered bridge to my neighborhood. When my sister is able to visit me in the fall, we make a pilgrimage of sorts to the covered bridges. They bring back memories of traveling home the scenic way from summer music camp, stopping by a dairy for ice cream and my mother\'s favorite schmierkase, going down to the pond to feed the ducks, and picknicking by one of the bridges.

So I made a small park, 20x30, and made sure there was room for a picnic. The wild horses certainly liked it!

There are all sorts of fish and a few other things to find.

No CC. There are, of course, items from Pets, and possibly WA, AMB and NL, since I have those EPs.
Makeover
POSTED ON 11/06/11
I\'m working on a couple new, smallish lots. But in the meantime, I gave my simself a makeover:

I really like that hair. The shirt from the Pets EP is actually pretty cute, too!

This has been one of my favorite hairs for a long time - I decided to use it for formal. I also lightened up the eye makeup. I think the dark shadow was making my sim a little too creepy.

My simself with a lizard, awwwwww!
