One year from today, I was thrilled for your checkup appointment so we could finally set the date to find out your gender! Mommy and daddy were so excited and the Dr went to listen to your heartbeat and nothing was heard. We sat silently while we waited for the monitor to pick up your heartbeat. The heartbeat never appeared. We were rushed for an emergency ultrasound to see what was going on. From there we learned that you had passed away in mommy\'s womb. Because I was so far along, I had to be induced to deliver you naturally. My heart was shattered into tiny little pieces. I am still working on picking up those pieces and putting them back together. I think I am missing some pieces and I realize, I will never get the pieces of my heart back that you took with you.
The moment you came out, we knew right away that you were a boy and the Dr confirmed. We already had a name picked out if you were a boy and we named you Isaac as planned.
In reference to the Bible, Isaac was Abraham\'s son who was also Sarah\'s first and only child and a \"miracle\" child as my Isaac was to me. (A week before our Isaac was conceived, I was told I could possibly be infertile due to all my health issues)
The name Isaac means to laugh which is exactly what Abraham did when God told him that his wife, Sarah (90 years old) was pregnant. They did not think it was possible and neither did we. We never knew this bible story until after we lost our Isaac.
Isaac is now with our heavenly father accompanied by his wonderful grandmother who passed away a year prior. She wanted a grandchild very badly before she passed and now she literally has her arms wrapped around him. :) We love and miss you both very much!
Gone, but will NEVER be forgotten!!
