I thought that the idea of story progression, was to lessen the need to play strategically, and enjoy more of the fun elements of the game. I\'m not finding this to be the case.
I\'m playing Claire Ursine from Sunset Valley, and she has a little girl by Jared Frio - and I\'d love the little girl to be able to get to know her daddy - but the b*gger up and moved away from next door. So it won\'t be as easy... in fact, every Sim night I get updates via awesomemod - of what has happened where within the game - sims befriending and antagonising each other - but worst is the fact that the entire town appear to have become nomads... never settling in one home for longer than a day. Some families are moving house every single Sim night... sometimes they end up back where they started... but what\'s really incongruous - is the rich Mrs Crumplebottom living in a hovel, or a family of five having moved into a one up, one down. The game appears to have seriously lost it\'s marbles. Nothing makes sense anymore...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... how the heck is Claire Ursine supposed to become a master criminal if she gets arrested EVERY SINGLE TIME she goes to work??????????
It\'s a sim world gone mad.
I\'ve been revamping Sunset Valley (one house, but it\'s in the Valley), and it\'s stirred the creative juices (may have been gas, I dunno) - and so far it\'s paying dividends for S3M . Three walls sets, a build set and a bedroom, as well as eventually the house itself. The bedroom, build set and one wall set have yet to be posted, or pictured even.
I had a fairly relaxing day until I went to collect my car from the garage after it\'d had a full service... and got the bill. It was over \u00A3200 when I\'d been expecting less than \u00A3100... we live and learn.
Bread and Iffet for the next month I think.
