I was just sitting here at my grandmother's old secretary desk. A yellow floral design with a fold down top to the inside and three drawers below, and I marveled at how multi-functional it is. On the narrow to I have a small lamp, my daughter's ducky bank, a small floral arrangement, another coin bank called the rainy day fund, and a pencil holder, and a hold for scissors and highlighters, and that is just on top. My laptop is on the fold down work surface and I have clothes and office supplies in the 3 drawers. Well while pondering my marvelous desk that came from my grandmother, I had an idea. Well two acutally. One is wouldn't it be neat to set the functionality of surfaces and objects in the game? Say you have a desk, you could have it function as both a dresser (If it has drawers) and a desk, or all those dressers and hutches and tables, you could set things to be display surfaces or tables or what have you to better mimic real life.
Then I also wondered why sims don't have inheritances, of things owned by departed family members and their money? It too is natural and realistic.
and I just noticed how my idea of why couldn't sims call up family or friends to babysit? Why is it always about hiring a teenage NPC to do it? IRL People rely on friends and family to watch children, especially aunts, uncles and grandparents. So why can't our sims do the same?
