Crashes happen often...
POSTED ON 11/17/12
Well, the game's crashing a lot.  I can manage it for the most part.  Constant saves are necessary, and it does keep me from playing too long, so it's a good thing for the most part.  Anyway I'm playing lots and lots and lots!  Having fun, and can't wait to carve pumpkins! lol
The glitch was far too strong!

I just couldn't stand it anymore! I like having my sims get married and have that pop up window come on where you pick who joins the family, etc.  I liked having the last name of one of the spouses change! I liked being able to collect space rocks and anylize them! I liked plants that said they were harvestable, and being able to harvest them.  and I liked getting the mail and not having my character jump several sqares away.  I liked all that...but my glitches made all that and more impossible. I don't have custom content in my game.  but still I was having problems, so I had to trash it all, and reinstall EVERYTHING!!! It's taken all day, but I'm done.  Tomorow I sim!
Just Blogging to Blog

It's been a rough end of week.  Tomorrow will see it end...at least as far as making Winter Formal Corsages and Boutonnieres.  The dead people continue to pass on, unfortunately.  Not complaining about the business, but it takes it out of me.  I think it could even be allergies.  I did have a thought though when I was taking a lunch break.  What if the new expansion included a new career path that involved florists?  It made my mental Sim perk up. Just a thought I wanted to share...On to Siming!
Playing A Player...
POSTED ON 11/07/12
Well, seems that everyone Elizabeth talked to had the "Attractive" modlet.  She met two Crumplebottom's both female, and both she instantly became romantically involved with,.  "You had me at hello" I guess...I got her married to a guy in China, but he didn't join the family when that happened, nor did he move in with my sim...I don't know what happened.  Then when she moves back, sans new husband, she started getting phone calls by local sims to go out on a date...including the sim version of my husband...yeah...not quite feeling that one...Anyway, Elizabeth is turning into more of a player than usually...
I Fixed It!

Update on the plumbob.  I took the opportunity to wrap the wires of the LED lights in foil to add more reflective surface, and to arrange them in a more uniform manner, then I hot glued the whole thing back together.  It looks pretty good, I think.
A couple days ago, the Sims3 Facebook posted a link where you could enjoy the wonderful music and animated gif's of Nyan Cat.  I Nyaned until you couldn't see the original page anymore and beyond.  Then, my husband tells me that we can have the kitten that our older son's friend's family was trying to find a good home for.  So, WEHAVEAKITTEN!!!!!  He is the cutest, as all kittens are.  Since our sim house needed an upgrade anyway, I decided to upgrade both the house and our sim family.  Now, he's an adult in the game cause I couldn't make a kitten, but I did the markings and everything as well as I could.  If you're interested in the new and improved Brown family, you can download them here
Happy Halloween! Darn Trees!

Today, I dressed myself up in a red strain lined dress and my homemade light-up plumbob and ran around town with my family and a few friends of my older son's.  One of the friends even knew what a sim was, in fact he even recognized that I was trying to be a particular sim, but couldn't remember her name!  It was fun with the kids, except trying to keep one of them from pigging out on his candy.  That is, until I walked under a tree branch and it caught my plumbob.  The fall knocked out one of the top triangles and loosened the rest of them a bit.  The plumbob is fixable, and it actually is a good thing that it's so loose since that gives me the opportunity to arrange the lights inside of it better.  I'm off to play a little of my glitchy game now!
