I was going to just let it go....but as I was vacuuming the floor I kept thinking about it so I decided to get it off my chest. What happened to manners...being polite..being a good sport? The thread announcing the results of the Good VS Evil showcase is a prime example of what I am talking about. In between people thanking the judges and congratulating the other winners, there are complaints about how the entries chosen are bad...the idea for the contest is bad...that they only picked people based on popularity, etc....and generally running down the whole showcase. I guess you could attribute it to two things: sour grapes because they didnt win and immaturity, but clearly these people didnt think the concept for the contest was bad when they entered it...just when they didnt win.
\r\nYes...I was lucky enought to get a spot in the showcase...but there have been plenty of times for Sims2 showcases that I did not get a spot. It never even crossed my mind to bad mouth the people that did win a spot or to knock the contest. I chalked it up to experience and just tried again....and again...and eventually I won a spot. I am truly hoping that the people making these kind of comments on the announcement thread just dont realize how rude they are being by chosing to react that way. Think those things if you really want to---or need to in order to feel better about yourself...but it is just poor sportsmanship to say it in front of everyone. There ya go. Thats how I feel and now that I have that off my chest I am going back to cleaning my house.
Been reading alot of stuff about the new Ep on line...and something that really caught my eye was a blip about rabbit holes being gone. In the new Ep, supposedly we can actually go into stores..and build them? This is HUGE if it is true...something people have been unhappy about from the start is the whole rabbit hole system as a function. As a builder, I am thinking of all the great possibilities for building. If we can go into stores, that should mean that all of those great decorative items and objects would be available for use. I have wanted the awnings and climbing ivy from the Bistro from the minute I saw them!
\r\nI guess the key part is ...\"if it is true\". I am trying not to get my hopes up too much because I cant imagine why we would not have heard about this feature from EA right from the start. I would have lead with it, personally....lol. Cant wait to find out what the real deal is about all of this.
