Strange & Unusual Showcase

After getting the message about the the Strange and Unusual Showcase, I decided to make a Sim. Since I also just bought Lunar Lakes (because it was on sale), I figured I should make an Alien to play in my new world. Meet Uni Umbra, yes I know it's a strange name, but then this is for the Strange & Unusual Showcase!

I had Uni visit the cemetery and he met Bella Goth. He introduced himself and found out she died of old age ...poor thing.
I'm thinking of bringing Bella back since while I was in my game earlier today to get more pics, lo 'n behold Uni got the "Oh my ghost" opportunity! When I wanted that opportunity to come up in my game last year , it never happened, that's how long it's been since that stoopid opportunity has happened in my game! Anyway, I ended up saving it because I think I need to have the gravestone in his inventory and I didn't think he would ever get that opportunity. I thought he might invite Bella over and feed her ambrosia, but he doesn't have enough skills to do that yet. Guess I'll have Uni try picking up Bella's grave the next time I get a chance to play. o.O

The Walking Dead!

Today the third Season has finally arrived for the Walking Dead Series on the AMC channel! I've been watching the series since season one, the preview of the show had me intrigued but leery. After watching the first show I found that I really liked the characters, storyline ...and yes, the Zombies
certainly added a scarey factor to the show. Why and how this infection started is certainly a question I hope they eventually address. The program is based off of a graphic novel which I had never read, which I think is advantageous to making the series more interesting for me since I also won't know how this story will end. Tonight can't come soon enough, I'm so excited to watch the new episode!
Note: I just noticed that pic says the premiere is 10/16??? ...but amc has been playing a marathon this weekend of series one and two and the TV listing shows the third season premiere's tonight! XD ...Dohhh that pic is the first season DVD shot, so maybe that date is for the first season premiere?? Guess it doesn't really matter, leaving now to go make some coffee. o.O

My niece finally picked up her kitties on Tuesday (10-2-12). Even though they were a handful (understatement
), I miss them. I picked up my Mother earlier on Tuesday to bring her over to my house so she could say her goodbyes to my niece, her granddaughter. She's supposed to come back for Christmas, but knowing her ...well let's just say her plans change a lot, so I wouldn't count on her for a place at the dinner table.
I was pretty proud of myself for not getting all weepy and emotional, I don't like good byes. After my niece & the kitties left I took my mother home and Ro and I ran some errands. When we got home and put our parcels down I noticed how quiet the house seemed and it felt odd not having the cats come running up to us to say "hey where ya been? " or to see if they could mooch a snack from us. We played some of the new CD's we just bought and Ro ran upstairs to edit some pics. I was knitting and listening to the music when it hit me, the cats and my niece were gone and I knew I would see my niece again, but the cats?? ...who knows if or when I will ever see them again. Ro happened to come back downstairs and he must have seen the look on my face and asked me what was wrong ...and yes, that is when I lost it and just started sobbing up a storm. My sobbing must have rattled him cuz he told me we could get a kitten, sigh isn't he sweet . Anyway, I've been in a funk so I haven't really felt like playing the Sims. I've been keeping busy doing other things. Hopefully I will get over missing the fur babies that weren't mine, but enjoyed taking care of (most of the time ) for over a month, sigh.
I finally moved some pics, Ro's are better ...but these will have to do:

Hello October!
I still find it hard to believe how fast this year is flying by. The Holidays are just around the corner and I'm not sure I'm ready for all those festivities.
Getting closer to the release date for Seasons. I'm still busy playing around with SN, so I certainly have plenty to do until Season's is released. Lately they have released the EP's 'n SP's so quickly, I've barely had a chance to try playing with all the new things that have come with each release. Oh well, with winter coming I'll be staying in more, so I guess I'll get a chance to try it all out. Hope my computer can handle Seasons.
