I am back playing the Sims 2 and 3 after an extended break. Had quite a few problems getting the Sims to work on my old computer after completely uninstalling all of it. I suppose there were applications that where causing conflicts and after re-setting my computer back to factory condition and only installing my Sim games it is now working again. Would like to thank my long term friend and fellow Simmer Dixie for reminding me that when putting my old saved games back in to my game I had to remove all the downloads and put them back in for them game to work properly! I really need a new computer to play the Sims 3 but for now I am playing with the Sims 3 base game and WA. I have Ambitions and Late Night which I am anxious to play but not sure if my computer will cope and will probably slow right down. Still I will try and install once I know the Sims 3 is running ok again. I still have the last 2 EP\'s and a SP to catch up with to make my game complete.
I still think that the Sims 2 is better than the Sims 3 because I can control my game. One aspect of the Sims 3 I am not keen on is not being able to save the patches to folder and install them myself. Some of the patches are very big and seem to take forever to download into my game. And what will happen when the Sims 3 comes to an end or the website is no longer up and running to add in online patches?
