1. First, to earn Mystic Mastery you must enter the fortune teller career track. Become a fortune teller at the gypsy wagon or by hunting for a job on the computer or newspaper. When you choose your career path pick Mystic.
2. While you are advancing in the mystic career path you can earn your Fairy Fine Enchanter badge. For Fairy Fine Enchanter you need to do the Gold and Toads, Inner Beauty, and Flight of Felicity enchantments 8 times each and then sleep until fully rested.  This gives you a total of 24 tricked Sims towards the Trickathalon badge. You need to increase your fairy skill to be able to do these enchantments. Keep using your fairy skill to get more options. Projecting auras on yourself is a good early choice. You can also set fairy traps on toilets, showers, mailboxes and the llama.
3. Once you become a Master of Mysticism  you can work on the Mischievous Tokens of Divinity badge. Do the Gold and Toads, Inner Beauty, and Flight of Felicity enchantments 25 times.
4. You should now have at least 49 tricked Sims so completing one more trick will give you the Trickathalon badge

• There are really no tricks to this badge. I just felt that I should write about all of the platinum badges. It is a lot of work.
• I wanted to have a skilled alchemist so I created every kind of elixir. This is pretty hard to do. But it isn't really necessary to get the badge. You could just create the easier ones like vial of bliss which only requires any food item. You can also use the drop down box at the top right of the mix elixir popup to choose recipes you have all ingredients for.
  
• To become an alchemist it is better to study at alchemy station then read books. This way you learn the recipes as you go along. There is an alchemy station at the elixir shop you can use. Once you have learned all the recipes at the station there are 7 alchemy recipe books to read. These are available at the bookstore and sometimes the elixir shop.
  
• The hardest part of alchemy is finding the ingredients. You don't need perfect ingredients to create the elixirs although; the elixirs may not work correctly if you use standard ingredients. Tips on finding ingredients are in the following 4 blogs:

If you want to speed up this whole process I have a family with: a witch who already knows all the potions and fish, a fairy who is an expert gardener, and a werewolf who is an expert ingredient hunter. They also have most elixirs and elixir ingredients in their inventories. • If your Sim has the Gatherer trait, he has a better chance at finding rare ingredients.
• The best way to find metals, gems and bugs is to have a werewolf hunt for them and/or get the alchemy opportunities.
• Once you study alchemy there are several opportunities that arise. One opportunity will let you see all the insects in the town. This is not like the lifetime achievement for collectors. You can actually tell which type of bug is where. I wouldn't complete this achievement until you have all the bugs you need except the crypt moth and the scarab beetle.  See below for a list of insects.
  
• The crypt moth and the scarab beetle are found in Egypt. You might get them if your werewolf hunts as a pack but I'm not sure. These two insects are required for the Bottled Mummy curse. I would skip this one for now if you are trying to get the potions badge.

• Your witch must be at level three to get the duel option. Use your witch powers to increase your skill level. It is a hidden skill but you will get comments when your power goes up.
• The witch you duel with must also be at level 3. It is easiest if you have two witches in your household. Some people have had success dueling the Crumplebottom sisters.
• I recommend you count your duels just in case your game or Sim is corrupt and it’s not working. Also once you start dueling try to complete the badge quickly to avoid problems.

• A lot of people have had trouble with this badge. I would recommend that you store up the harvestables and sell 50,000 to the grocery store at one visit. This seems to reduce the chance of errors. Also if you want you can save right before you sell, get the badge, and then go back to your previous save so that you still have all your harvestables.
• You can buy the Suave Seller reward with Lifetime Happiness Points to increase the value of your produce.
• Money tree earnings are not counted
• On the forums it was suggested that your Sim shouldn't have sold any harvestables before but I don't know if this matters or not. If you save right before selling then save to a new name you can go back to the pre-sell save add another sim to the household and retry.
  
• I would suggest planting mostly life fruit as it is worth a lot of money. There is a new mushroom that’s worth more but it is more work to get multiple harvests.  Life fruit is also very good for mixed drinks and wine.  Replant your harvest until you have perfect quality. Note this badge will work with harvestables you have saved up in the past. You don't have to regrow them if you already have some.
  
• I use garlic or extra fish for fertilizing. Normal garlic is an excellent fertilizer and perfect garlic is outstanding and it’s cheaper than other fertilizers of the same quality.
• Gardening is faster using a fairy to bloom or even a unicorn to bless.
  
• Note there is a gardening bug that some Sims get where they can only harvest one item at a time. If you get this early on I would restart with another Sim.  However, my Sim had the bug when I delivered all the harvestables to the store and I still got the badge.
  

• Sci-Fi requires writing level. 1 or writing level 0 with the Computer Whiz trait
• Drama requires writing level 3
• Humor requires writing level 5 or writing level. 2 with the Good Sense of Humor trait
• Mystery requires writing level 5
• Romance requires writing level 10 or writing level 5 with the Hopeless Romantic trait
• Vaudeville requires 2 Sci-Fi, 2 Drama, 2 Humor, 2 Mystery, 2 Romance novels, and writing level. 10

Write a poetry novel

Method

Use a Sim with writing level 7 or the Brooding trait and the option to write poetry will be available.

1. Make a new family of 8 Sims each with the following traits: Computer Whiz, Hates the Outdoors, Artistic, Bookworm, and Couch Potato.
2. Move them into a cheap house. You will need one large room for writing. (You can sell all the furniture in the living/dining room or build a basement)
3. Have at least 8 desks in the room each with a computer and comfy chair. (I used 16 desks and paused the game while I told each to write a novel at two computers. I set them in squares of 4 desks each.)
4. Have all the Sims write fiction or nonfiction novels until you get the badge.(10 novels each) Fiction and Nonfiction are the shortest and require no previous skill.

You may want to use one of these Sims to get the Master of the Literary Arts and Waxing Poetic badges

1. Create a family with 1 male and 7 female witches. Create another family with 7 female witches. Create a final family with 1 female witch. ( I have a witch coven on the exchange you can use as a starting point. http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=6443729 You can change 1 male to human and optionally change the remaining 3 males to female)
2. Give all Sims the following characteristics:Romantic, Charismatic, Good kisser, Flirty and one other. Move them all into a household. (They should be compatible signs I think Gemini and Ares works)
3. Have the male do all the romantic choices with one witch until propose to go steady turns up. (Don’t bother with watch the stars) Go steady. Then have the witch move out or study at the library so they don't interfere. (you need to be friends first so you could use a  potent jar of friendship)
4. Have the next witch do all the romantic choices with the male until break up with the last witch shows up. Choose to breakup.  Repeat step 3
5. Do step 4 until all 7 witches are ex-partners. Move them out if you haven't already.
6. Save game and go to edit town mode. Merge the second family of witches with your active household of 1 male.Repeat steps 4 and 5
7. Save game and go to edit town mode. Merge the third family of 1 witch with your active household of 1 male.Repeat step 4 Until you have the badge.
   

1. Create a family with 3 young adults: a normal female, 2 male vampires, and a male werewolf.
2. Give all Sims the following characteristics:Romantic, Charismatic, Good kisser, Flirty and one other. Move them all into a household.
3. Have the female do all the romantic choices with one Vampire male until propose to go steady turns up. (Don’t bother with watch the stars) Go steady, make out, then have the vampire move out. (you need to be friends first so you could use a  potent jar of friendship)
4. Have the werewolf male do all the romantic choices with the female until break up with the vamp shows up. Choose to breakup. Have the female do all the romantic choices with the werewolf until become partners turns up. Become partners, and make out
5. Have the werewolf move out.
6. Repeat step 4 with the last vampire.  Keep up romantic choices to become engaged and then have a private wedding.
