Weather

Where I live we have had quite a warm and sunny September. Today it was 29C (84F). While it has been nice to have warm weather after a cold winter we desperately need more rain.

Barnacle Bay

I updated my game and installed Barnacle Bay. Everything seems to be working fine and I really loved exploring this new world. I still can\'t believe that it was given to me. That was so generous and I am really grateful.

I am totally in shock. I just logged in and found an amazing gift waiting for me. It is beyond awesome and I just about fell off my chair. Thank you doesn\'t seem enough I am so very grateful. I was not sure if you wanted to be named as you did say not a word to anyone but you know who you are. I know what I will be doing tomorrow backing up my computer, updating my game and installing BB.

To update or not to update

I have been thinking of updating my game but given that everything is working well at the moment I am not sure. If I had bought Fast Lane I would have updated but I am waiting for it to be on sale. One thing I do like about the update is that you can name your car. I know people who name their car. The car\'s are old and have character though. I also liked the Top Gear Botswana Special where Richard Hammond named his car Oliver. I have got a back up drive so if I had to I could uninstalled and restore but this took hours when I did it last.

Thanks so much to BlazeMasterwort for posting the Dr Pepper code. As I said in the thread I wasn\'t sure whether to try it but I did and was greatly surprised that it worked. I tried to get to your page last night but it wouldn\'t load and I checked today and you don\'t have anything on your wishlist. I will keep checking and try to return the favour.

My footy team (AFL) the Freo Dockers lost in tonight\'s semi final game. So that is the footy season over. Hopefully they will do even better next year.

Points, footy and white pages.

I got a few more points yay! I was able to gift people and get a set. I had trouble deciding between the Pirate set or the Oktoberfest but I choose the Pirate one as this is still on special in the in game store. I am still really grateful to Walden95 for providing a link so Mac users can access this. I keep getting a white page when I try to read the forum and while clearing my history and cookies and cache works it also logs me out so I can\'t post. It is very weird because occasionally if I log in and out a few times it works. I was happy today because my favourite Freo Dockers footy player has signed a new contract with the footy club for the next few years.

Starting a topic in the ideas and feedback part of the forum.

I only started posting on the forums in mid December because of a problem with an update. Before that I used to just read the forums as I am shy, lack confidence and have issues. Once I started posting I found that people were generally nice and I really enjoyed it. Then in March I suggested an idea for an EP in the ideas and feedback part of the forum. While there was more than a few people who said kind things about my idea and some who didn\'t like my idea but said it in a reasonable way. One person was rather nasty and posted multiple negative comments and it really upset me and made my wish I had never posted my idea. It has turned me off starting topics as it is just not worth the stress. So I was sad to see when I read the ideas and feedback part of the forum today that the same person was being very nasty again to someone I consider a friend. Not that my friend doesn\'t stand up for herself but I just wish that this nasty person (a bitter and twisted old cow) would take her nastiness and negativity and go elsewhere. You should be able to post a topic without that level of nastiness.

Freo Way To Go YAY!

I am still excited my footy team the Freo Dockers won the elimination final today. So they will play another game in the finals series next Friday night. It is only the second finals game they have ever won so it is very exciting. Although the next game will be a tough one hopefully they can win again.

Point Prices in Australia

I wish the Sims3 store had the same price for sim points as the EA store does in Australia. I really do not get what exchange rate was used to price 1000 sim points at $17A on the Sims3 store. It is good that the EA store only charges $12A but you don\'t get the bonus items. I hoped when I saw the 15percent off code that it might work on the EA Store but it doesn\'t. It would be so good if they would make them both the same lower price but it doesn\'t seem likely.
