After spending time making furniture, objects, playground equipment, etc., that coordinates with the basic colors of the custom house, I\'ve been trying to determine the easiest way to identify particular objects as being suitable for use in a particular house. The simplest way seems to be to use a numbering system. The next house that I make will be the 80th house that I\'ve created and uploaded so it will be call H80 (for House #80) and furniture, objects etc will be identified with the number 80 in the upload title. I\'m sure that players who just look at objects that may be turquoise blue but have a title of Black White likely think I\'ve lost my mind. This is a learn as I go process since I\'ve never made custom items for any Sims game before.
\r\nI strive for mix and match with hex colors that coordinate and tie it all together for a finished look. Sometimes a pattern will look really good in an unexpected area (like on a bookcase) but sometime the same pattern can look like crap on a different style of object. I like lots of choices for furniture, art, etc., and try to provide choices.
\r\nI don\'t know if it\'s a glitch or just gremlins in my computer but when I made a swing to coordinate with the most recent house, I couldn\'t get it to save with the custom colors. That explains why there is a fort and slide that coordinate with the house but no swing.
\r\nIt makes sense to me to be able to use a variation of a pattern within the same room to keep it from being ho-hum boring (and I get bored easily). For that reason there are often variations of a pattern
\r\nSometimes an object will look like one from another house but there may be a color difference in the hex number or rather than make players search through thousands of items, it makes more sense to add a duplicate for the current house.
\r\nI thank those of you who have downloaded and used the objects that I\'ve created. You give me a reason to spend countless hours in front of my computer :)
