Been thinking
POSTED ON 08/28/11
The more I play this game, the more I admire the people who\'ve managed to build it for us. Sure, it has its issues, but there\'s nothing else like it. I watch my little simmies living their lives, and I\'m in awe when I stop to realize that these are pixels running around on my screen. When I was a little girl I used to look at my dolls and wish they would get up and move around for me. Now they do. And I forget for a while that they aren\'t real. They matter. They don\'t really have feelings, but I can\'t bring myself to hurt them. I want them to have the best lives they can have. They don\'t exist, but if they were gone I would miss them. I have left the game for months at a time, but I always have to come back. Anyway, I just thought I\'d say something nice for a change. lol

And why are the forums not working again? I\'m about to put Liam in my game just so I can take him out.

Have spent most of the morning updating the game, installing BB and TL,... did some things around the house. Put my game computer online long enough to dl some things I\'ve been buying in the store and saving for later. I\'m kind of excited about having new hair in the game for a change. I have a few 3rd party ones, which I love, but can\'t overload the game with that stuff. I have several from the store that look ok in other simmers\' pics. I\'ve been looking at new computers and have just about decided it\'s time for an upgrade. Both of these are several years old and one can barely handle TS3 with all the EPs and SPs, while the other can\'t even do the base game. Sooo, it\'s a hot, lazy Saturday. Ordering pizza later, maybe do some texting, make a call or two. Ignore facebook. You know. Just play Sims and wish for a motherlode to come my way. :)
Nifty things to be done with this game ...

I built a campground for my legacy sim when she was starting out. She had her own lot, but spent most of her time at the campground, where she had a bathroom, grill, lake for fishing, some seeds and rocks to collect, and she slept in a sleeping bag. Not only that, but townies would do the same, so she always had someone to talk to. She met her husband there when she found him asleep in one of the bags by the hot tub. They\'re on Gen 3 now and rich, but they still hang out at their campground with the kids, and they all enjoy spending a weekend there on occasion. If the townies are doing that annoying \"I\'m starving\" thing, my sims will pick apples off the trees and lay them on the ground. Sometimes one of the geniuses will pick one up and eat it.As a bonus, when I built the place I put one of the storage boxes there from the tombs. Now my more well-to-do sims (when I\'m playing one of their families) will stop by and drop in excess items from their inventories. When I play a family that\'s just starting out they can go to the campground and pull a pink diamond out of the box, or a potion to turn their IF real. I even put seeds and food in there. Whatever somebody doesn\'t need ends up in that box.
What's with all the social networking, anyway?

I have to say, I\'m getting more and more into my game again. So why do they want me to stop and go to Facebook? Or Twitter? Or any other site than their own? Sorry EA. If you want my attention, talk to me here. Otherwise, I\'m not interested.
