Thought I'd check to see if the forums were back up, but NOPE
...they still have the notice up that it is down for an upgrade
& is "read only"
& check back in a few days
, LOL!
They took the forum down August 8th it has
been a few days
.
Unless they are only counting weekdays then it's only been 2 work days. I don't really go to other Sim websites anymore, but I'm sure people are complaining that this "upgrade"
is taking to long
. hehee
...I'm sure it will be back soon, uh huh.
Happy Simming All!
...but we still have some time before the dog days of summer come upon us and we start to feel the chill of Autumn in the air.
I'd like to say I progressed further with my hopes of resuming my Simming, but I have not.
I think the fact that I missed out playing with so much new content when it came out in the last year it made the thought of loading up my game overwhelming.
Too much stuff & so much to do!
So with TS4 around the corner, I oddly find myself in the same situation I was in when I started playing TS2 back in 2006.
Trying to finish playing TS2 before TS3 came out. There were so many things I had not done in TS2, but TS3 was coming in 2009 and I was excited to move on to an open world!
So even though I didn't finish exploring all the things in TS2 I moved on to TS3.
I'm just not sure I'm willing to put the money into another series before I've finished playing the current series.
I don't even want to think about all the money I have sunk into these games!
Although I have to say EA has made it fairly easy to say no to TS4. I'm still not sure I like the look of the new Sims even though I was one of the lucky people to get the TS4 CAS Demo early, it made me realize how much I will miss being able to re-color everything, no eyelashes on our Sims, the hair is blocky and I'm so afraid they have gone overboard with the emotions. I played Freeplay on my IPad and the sims would mourn the death of someone for days so it put them in a bad mood like "forever ", so annoying!! So I stopped playing Freeplay months ago.
I've yet to pre-order TS4 and doubt I will.
I think I will wait to hear reviews from people who do get it and then hope I can catch a sale, no more full price anything ...I'm soooo done with being milked for every dime I make for stuff that may or may not work as they intended.
I remember how sad I was at the end of the TS2 series, which was mostly because I had just lost my sister who was my simming buddy. I was sad that she would never get to share TS3 with me, she would have loved it.
What I can say about the transition from TS3 to TS4 is ...I'm just confused.
I have loved playing my Sims, but no matter how hard I have tried I just can't get excited about TS4.
I am grateful for the good times I've experienced with TS3 and most of all for meeting my Ro on this site.
...but yeah I think this place is done and the natives are restless to move on to TS4 good or bad as it may turn out to be.
Happy Simming All!
