I am interested in things that will make my game more playable not decorative things to bump up the price
I will spent my the points I earned long ago before the store closes very disappointed that many items are being bumped up in collections

Why it played so slowly was a mystery since they are saying the Sims 4 is not going to need a high spec computer, but don't you believe it LOL
So why have I found the Sims 3 less addictive than the Sims 2.
Firstly I like to play my neighbourhood game. In the Sims 2 when we went off and played another household the game froze those in the previous household and we could go back knowing that when we left them it would still be the same. You cant do that in the Sims 3 with aging and story progression on.
Secondly I loved how we could send Sims to University together even Townies. And when we made University in that neighbourhood better, by putting things in and improving it for other Sims that came along in the same neighbourhood it would not be reset like starting over again. I haven't played another household in my World in Sims 3 and sent them to University to try this out, but we all know that much is lost when we change households.
The best EP's in the Sims 2 for me where Open For Business, University and Seasons. But I feel that what we had in the Sims 2 has much been lost in the Sims 3. In the Sims 2 we could set our seasons for each neighbourhood. In the Sims 3 it is universal across all the games we play, although I know we can change things with the weather stone but we had a weather machine in the Sims 2. There is no easy way for our Sims to garden in the dormant season in the Sims 3
I miss much of the making and selling that came with Open for Business and feel EA want us to buy extra's in the Store to be able to do some of these things. The consignment store doesn't it cut it for me. I want my Sims to be able to make all kinds of things and sell them in a store they own. That aspect was one of the best in the Sims 2 and I had so much enjoyment playing it.
And while on the subject of the Store. We all know that once the Sims 3 website is closed these things will no longer be available to us and so is my argument for having a disk in which we can install and play as we wish. I foolish bought a disk "world" set thinking I could install it when i wanted only to find out it was only a link to an online download. Next time I will be more wise about these things especially as the World Bundle has caused me no end of problems.
As I have always maintained there is lots to like about the Sims 3 but I wish it had been more like the Sims 2. People are saying the Sims 4 will be more like the Sims 2. Personally I doubt that and until I hear what long term simmers are saying about the Sims 4 compared to all the others I will reserve judgement
If EA continue to put more and more out as downloads, I am sure I will not be buying or continuing as I did. I like to have something physical that I know will load up when the game has passed it's sell by date and not longer giving support

If I put plants in the ground and built a structure around then added a roof the plants continued to grow although I found when reloading the game it would show the plants dormant. Using the sprinkler seemed to revive them. If you use this method you cannot plant more seeds or move plants around. If you want to sow more seeds or move items you have to remove one of the sides to the building and close it when finished. This often reverts plants to dormant if in a dormant season. So although this is a bit of a work around is by no means perfect, but it means my Sims can garden in the winter season although somewhat frustrating. I found much to be frustrating with the Sims 3 LOL
I read there was a greenhouse in the store somewhere but trying to navigate the store is too much hassle when you want to find something there. I wouldn't have a clue where to look for an item like this.
Not sure when there was so much gardening in the Sims 3 why they didnt give us the option to have a greenhouse or indoor gardening with the Seasons EP.

I did put a building around my already planted crops and they were not showing dormant but I was unable to plant anything new.
This is another thing that I find disappointing in the Sims 3. That we as players are being controlled instead of inventing things we can do to make the game as we want it.
Why oh why are my plants dormant in Autumn (Fall) season. I know plants maybe wont grow in real life in this season but we can still harvest items in real life.
EA give us real life stuff like laundering. I would much prefer things in the game that will benefit my sims and skills rather than just a moodlet
The more I play the Sims 3 the more I want to go back and play the Sims 2 as I am in control of the game and not a computer!

This EP is so full of bugs I really don't know what to say about it! Lag, really bad freezing and Sims complaining of not being able to go anywhere, stamping their foot and the request falling off. Trying to send a sim somewhere is failing because they cant get there due to bad routing and lack of proper EP testing as far as I am concerned! You want your money EA but not prepared to address the problems when thousands of copies are sold and people test it for you!
I love the many things that have been added to this EP and other previous EP's, but what does that matter if the island is full of bugs and making play so bad one no longer wants to play it?
It's so typical of EA when bringing out the last EP's to a series not to address bugs and problems with the game that people have spent their hard earned money on. We only have to look back to FreeTime and Apartment Life in the Sims 2 to realise that.
So the Sims 4 is coming out in a few weeks. Will I be getting it? At this moment in time I cannot say. It has been quite a number of years to get a new computer that would play the Sims 3, to make fast enough to be playable.
I can honestly say I am not enthused with the video's of the Sims 4. Our Sims having emotions, what are we losing to get emotions instead of playability ? I know EA want to find new things to bring out but don't they realise that many of us "hard core" simmers want to have fun playing as we did in the Sims 1 and 2. Have less computer control and more playability. At least "I" do! To be honest I am not that fussed about emotions yes our sims need some but they dont need to be driven by them!
I am not about to rush out and buy the Sims 4 as I did with the Sims 3 because I loved the Sims 2 so much.
I love much about the Sims 3 but bugs, game problems leave me feeling that I want to exit the game and forget it! Although it leaves me wanting to find out more about the game because I have spent so much money on all the EP's. I know there will be bugs and glitches will leave me feeling less than satisfied and will now never be sorted :(
EA, I dont know who you are catering to with your new ideas in the Sims 4. I know I havent read much about this new game. although I try to find out much about it. You play your cards close to the chest letting us pay our money to find out if we will like the new game
You need to get back to basics in my opinion. Who are you catering for in the Sims? I feel you are trying to get a younger audience but what about us oldies who have been faithful and play the Sims on a daily basis?
Maybe many youngsters playing the game will not agree with me, but how long will they be playing the game for? I have been playing the Sims from the Sims 1 it was my main PC game I have played for over a decade. I played Sims all day, sometime for too long it was so addictive. In the Sims 2 I knew just about all there was to know although I know not everything will ever be found in a game like this.
Honestly, I can't say that for the Sims 3 I can take or leave it and with the bugs in the game. I can leave it when the play becomes so bad I end up having to start all over again. It doesnt make me feel good about the game.
Maybe my computer is too new for the Sims 3 with the graphics card not being recognised although I have no complaints about the visuals, it's stunning. Then we get back to EA keeping their game up to date with newer tech and patches making sure it runs ok. I wont hold my breathe LOL
