Episodes 6 and 7 of the Bradly Family are up

At our Sims Stories with a Twist
page, I have just added Episode 6
and Episode 7.
I\'ll probably be writing a few episodes tonight. Though not posting them :P It helps to have a few laying around so I can post them throughout the week. It\'s been almost 10 days between ep.5 and 6. That\'s just too long, isn\'t it?
In other news, I will have an evening to myself tomorrow as The Boyfriend goes out and parties at a BBQ on the beach. Rain is predicted. I will feast on ... something. I haven\'t decided yet. Pizza? Salad? Pizza-salad? I\'ll be watching an Errol Flynn film, I think.
(oh, go look him up on wikipedia, if you don\'t know him.)
And the cat is still doing great. She is getting to know her name now. We think.

:) That\'s nice. Gonna have a beer to celebrate that. .. Okay, so I was gonna have a beer anyway.
I re-uploaded one of my first lots, with some minor changes. It is doing well on the exchange now. I also uploaded a new house today, with 4 bedrooms. That is doing well too. And I have a new house in mind, which I will be working on a little later on.
I may also upload some sims again. They don\'t get downloaded a lot, because I think most people are fooled to download sims with custom content or store content. They look different, and better, than the sims I make. But I don\'t like filling my neighbourhood with little miss and mister perfects. Most of my most fun sims are weird, funny or strange. Neurotic is one of my fave traits for sims.
Anyway, the cat is doing well, thanks for asking. And I almost leveled up again on Lord of the Rings Online. Now you are caught up again :)

Cat-time

Monday we picked a cat at the animal rescue shelter. She is a cute black cat with white feet and socks and chin. She took to the house and to us immediately. Somehow I lost a lot of time just cuddling and watching her, hence no new builds or sims or patterns.

Sim-Less time is upon us

In many parts of the world school is starting again. Which is why I planned my vacation time in the coming week: peace and quiet :) It will also mean a slightly decreased activity on the forums here and people having less time to build, write and play.
I thought I would have a whole week to not just continue playing, but do other stuff as well. Yesterday we played Lord of the Rings Online again, after 6 months. It was good :) Lots of improvements, and new stuff. Having a lifetime subion does pay off if you play irregularly.
But last week we also lost our last pet-mouse. And cruel as it may seem, I did say that when our last mouse died I wanted to get a cat. Not immediately, but the timing is such that if we get a cat today or tomorrow we\'d have a whole week to get acquainted. So, the cat will also cut into my simming time. Not to the point where I won\'t play or build or write or upload, but ... well, what would you do if you had the choice of playing with your new cat and sitting behind a cold computer screen...?
And on to the latest upload: Pippi Longstocking and her father. A request by Zcrollan, who will be sharing Pippi\'s house on the exchange soonish. And I am going to be finishing the school for the Build and Share weekly challenge. Plus more sims to go with it.
And in 2 hours or so... I\'ll be going to the pet shelter. I am nervous! In a good way though. Cat!

It\'s almost making me sigh and give in. There are so many beautiful lots and buildings on the exchange. They get plenty of downloads and not a lot of recommendations. So please check out Rib640\'s studio
and recommend some of his gorgeous buildings! He doesn\'t get recommended enough, I think!

Custom pictures make for more downloads. My last lot, Robinesque villa, has been downloaded a lot more than my earlier non-custom pictured lots. And it is not even such a good build, compared to some I made.
I\'m debating whether or not I should re-upload the older lots with new custom pictures... But I don\'t think I will bother. I will bother to make some more patterns :) Especially Japanese. And girly ones.
I actually have a lot of ideas but as you may know, I don\'t have that much free time. *sniffs the air* Owww, quiche! I am off to have dinner. Bye all!

Which is nice, because I just made some jungle themed patterns. And two japanese type themed patterns. They\'re downloadable through the objects in my studio, Just look for the pink bed. Yes, because my theory is that pink stuff gets downloaded more...
So it\'s still warm, well, hot. But of course for tomorrow they have predicted rain and thunderstorms. Just when my weekend starts and we have to do shopping. We have to go offline soon and get some sleep! If I can, with this heat. ... Maybe I should sleep on the balcony...
Anyway. Are these blogs a redundant feature of the sims site? Yes. Because unlike on TS2 site these blogs do not get featured anywhere. So people don\'t read them. Plus if you can\'t comment, what is the use?
So purely writing for my own pleasure... Goodnight.

I was so exited to get 100 recommendations and then you guys go and hand out another 100! I am going to celebrate by getting that program that allows me to alter the main upload picture... Apparently that makes a whole lot of difference in terms of downloads. Though I am quite happy with the number of downloads, tbh.
I still have 2 requests for patterns on the backburner. I am still not swimming in time like I wished, but I have some sketches I can transfer to patterns and then upload. Which will still take me a while. So holding breath: better not.
First I will finish the request for a large house, somewhere around Las Vegas. Why do I get to make these american houses all the time... After that, I promise to do some regular Dutch houses again. Yeah.
Right. Having rice and veg for dinner tonight, with beef strips, marinated. Oh, it\'s good. And easy to make too, which is always a plus for me. Especially if I get The Boyfriend to chop the onions. I hate chopping onions.
