Alice Grove is Go!
POSTED ON 31/07/10

So it took about 4 attempts and a quick re-package, re-cover and re-upload (which resulted in some spelling mistakes in the deion that I am not happy about) but Alice Grove finally made it onto the exchange despite the launcher, antivirus and exchange consipiring against me!

The walkthrough with all the pictures is located here but to give you an idea of what the house is like if you don\'t have time to look at the blog, it\'s a 70\'s retro inspired house, here you can see the dining room. The colour scheme for this and most of the living areas came from the Ecila Grove Kitchen.

This next room was inspired by a picture a friend showed. At the time I\'d finished the living area and had no idea how to go about creating retro bedrooms so she started bombarding me with pictures in an attempt to inspire something (this happens quite regularly by the way... and is much appreciated!). One particular room and it\'s colour scheme and style caught my eye, so I attempted a sims recreation. Given that all you could see in the picture was a sliver of bed through a door and a bit of wallpaper, I don\'t think I did too bad.

This next room is probably my favourite, this was inspired by a picture that I found of a retro desk against a wall with some really cool blue and brown wallpaper, I loved the colours so attempted to recreate the look of the wallpaper for this bedroom:

Last for the the pictures here, is an exterior pic of the back garden, it\'s a sunken garden and the bedrooms are downstairs so the two pictures above lead out to a hall that comes out through the beige wood door next to the seating area, through the arches is a sculpture room and up the stairs is the BBQ area leading back into the dining room:

onto the exchange. Hopefully! This is if my computer, sims launcher, anti virus and the exchange don\'t all conspire against me to stop it happening - which they have so far been trying to do all day.

Yeah, me has a house to share, how exciting is that? It\'s only taken me 4 months to get my motivation back after the whole exchange mess up situation. If you follow my word press blog, there is already a sneaky peak up there for you... yes I has already posted the walkthrough which you can find here. The walkthrough shows most of the rooms with the exception of the master bathroom and the master gym which are shaped too oddly to get decent pictures of :( Anyway, go take a look and if you fancy picking the house up, I\'ll be uploading it at some time around 10:30 BST tonight.

Playing sims 2.... Yes TWO!
POSTED ON 17/07/10

So I\'ve (at least temporarily) given up on sims 3. I tried... I spent a year trying, building instead of playing because I just couldn\'t stand playing and then I even started liking WA and started playing again but with the release of ambitions my dislike of the game reached new heights and I have now put sims 2 on this computer and am having fantastic times playing with my old simmies who I know and love.

This is not to say I\'ve completely given up building but until we have a completely fixed exchange I just don\'t really see the point, I have 2 houses sitting packaged up and ready to go, one that just needs landscaping and another I\'ve only really just started but I don\'t have any motivation to finish them at the moment given that I can\'t share them. I am hoping to go in and do some landscaping this weekend, most likely tomorrow but we\'ll see what happens :/
