Getting back into the swing of things now and these badges on here are something I have been bemused by.
I have suddenly realised you don't need to upload any of them to achieve them you just need to be logged in. Although there are ones that give badges for uploads. Sorry to all my friends who I have been spamming with memory uploads LOL.
With the Sims 4 out in about 6 weeks time I have much to catch up on the Sim 3. There are many things I love about the Sims 3 but the game has become so massive and there is so much to do it has been a little overwhelming loading all the EP's up to Island Paradise. I have Into the Future but holding off for a little while until I have caught my breath.
I will be getting the Sims 4 but I wont get a special pack as I did with the Sims 3. That was a fiasco I prefer to forget! I still need to catch up with all the gossip and what is happening in the Sims 4. So much to do and little time to get it all done in.

With a new computer and renewed enthusiasm I loaded up EP's to Late Night but decided just to go for it and loaded all of the EP's apart from "Into the Future".
I was so looking forward to playing University in the Sims 3 as it was one of my favourites in the Sims 2. There is much to do in the Sims 3 with all EP's installed, so why do I find it not as much fun or interesting as I did with the Sims 2? Firstly I dislike how we cant play University on it's own as we did in Sims 2. We have to go back visiting.
When my Sim went to a graduation day he went into what I believe is called a "rabbit hole" while I "the viewer" sat outside and watched what all the other unplayable Sims did. In the Sims 2 we were treated to a graduation video. No fun in sitting outside watching nothing. Not even sure about graduation clothing, and why my Sim wasn't in Grad clothing.
My Sim gets back home and back into his Law Enforcement career. I hadn't logged into the game online and there was a pop up to say he could get benefits from being a graduate but I wasn't logged in. Forgive me, but all this online stuff is crap. I play "my" game, why should I lose out if I'm not logged in? I'm not really interested in sharing all my Sims memories for badges and other stuff. And yes I know they can unlock cool things, but really why do I have to subject all my friends to this spam?
And what about all the University friends my Sim made? Where are they? At least in the Sims 2 we could call them up invite them out! No show in my Sim's calling circle back in his neigbourhood town!
To me this is a fundamental issue with the Sims 3 that we have to play a neighbourhood dedicated to the EP they have brought out. I much preferred how we travelled to "neighbourhoods" to find new things. Personally it's a pain to have to edit my town to accommodate new things added. I know that we can now move a family to a new town with Island Paradise. I have still to try that out and see how it works! But I'm not pinning my hopes on anything from what I have seen so far.
I love much about the Sims 3. It doesn't have me glued to the game as the Sims 2 or even Sims 1 did. It has lots of really cool stuff, nice touches and visually looks stunning, but it doesn't cut the mustard with me. Sorry.
