I friended someone and now my Page is in German! The new friend is German. What the frickola! I am part German, but nowhere near fluent, and I forgot how I fixed this several months ago! Or maybe it fixed itself, I forget.

Hah! I just looked at it and it has a big \'0\' there. What happened to my lovely wishes? Maybe the removal of my folders had something to do with it? No, I doubt that could be it.
Oh, well, I can start over! That\'s a cool thing. Wishes do come true ya know. Off to make a new list. I think I will start small this time. Simpoints don\'t grow on trees, you know.

As I have mentioned, the babies in my game went wonky and I basically couldn\'t play families with newborns.
Two days ago in a last ditch attempt to fix the issue without the old re-install, I clicked the box on the launcher that disallows custom content in the game. As soon as the Main Menu appeared, there was the last family I had played holding what looked like two-by-fours or big brown blotches. It\'s hard to discribe what it looked like but bottom line the problem was still there. So I shut down the game without playing and went to my Documents folder/ElectronicArts/TheSims3 and removed DCbackup, SavedSims, Saves and Downloads folders.
I started the game and picked a family, had them have babies and yes! no distorted newborns! The family now has six babies : ). Won\'t it be fun when they all turn into toddlers at basically the same time?! <sarcasm blended with fear>
Now I wonder if I should try putting the folders back one at a time or just start over? It seems it would take quite a long time to add the downloads back one file at a time or even in groups. I think I will start with re-installing my Store items and if that works, leaving anything else out.
I am surprised with what little CC I had, that it caused such a huge issue, but why am I surprised? Geez, I should know better than that. Shame on me. No more exchange downloads for a long time. We need a way to test people\'s creations before they are allowed on the exchange. Would be nice.

I am home from the Hospital. After the surgery, I woke up in recovery in a lot of pain. I spent the next 3 days in ICU and after 3 days in progressive care, I was allowed to go home.
It is very painful to move or use my left side, but I am home! I\'ll be good as new in no time.

A few weeks back my game started producing weird babies. They came home from the hospital with either a white or black \'glove\' and half their body was white or black; like they were wearing a half strapless gown under the blanket. When the babies were in their cribs, a long pole/bar-like object projected from the babies heads, through the bodies and through the walls and beyond.
There were also flashing geometrical shapes covering a portion of the \'picture\' every time I had the camera focused on or near the babies. I was so frustrated that I deleted the game, tried to re-install, got a cylic redundancy error over and over and over, got frustrated and bought a digital copy of the base game(the one throwing the error) and installed it plus the EP\'s. I got the redundancy error during the digital install, which told me my base disk was fine and I wasted $50, but thank goodness this time, it gave an \'ignore\' as well as the usual cancel/retry. It installed!
So-I go to Twinbrook, and do my favorite thing-letting momma sim have multiple births. Same nightmare as above. Only now one triplet in my test family (I was testing to see if it was the corrupt doll) is invisible and it looks like a two-by-four is standing in the crib, rather than the usual pole through the body thing.
I am so disappointed, I just knew it was the corrupted doll, and thought since I found the file and deleted it, my babies would be normal. Nope. The best part of this game for me is the family unit. Parents, babies, children, etc. I don\'t have that anymore. I haven\'t played through the 72 days it takes for the babies to toddlerize, so I don\'t know yet if the \'corruptness\'? will be long-lived, or if it is just a baby thing.
I guess that will be my next test before throwing in the towel, seeing if they are normal as toddlers and beyond. I wish I knew why this is going on! I have no mods, only Store items and a couple of exchange families I downloaded a few days ago, after the weirdness began.
I cannot express my frustration! Families are why I love this little game. Bleh.
Yes, I delete the various cache files, what else can I try? What I know at this point is it started sometime after Ambitions, or was it High-End? I forget. So I guess I know nothing at this point.
