Ok..so Nevar has a little dance video challenge and I thought I would give it a shot. What a disaster! It is so much harder than I thought...good video makes reallyhave a talent for making it look easy. I took 40 clips before I could get a few useable ones...I kept getting the plumbob in the shots..the camera is jerky..the whole thing is a hot mess. I wanted to give up totally, but I hated to let something get the best of me. So I finally finished my lame little video....and yes,...it is so sad. Seriously. So if you are wondering why there is a sad little video on my page...that\'s why. Ima stick to house building. That I can do. :)

Here is something I have been thinking about for a few days now: nagging. Maybe it is because I am a mom and I have kids nagging me all the time, but when I get nagged about something, it has the opposite effect. I will bend over backwards to NOT give the person what they are endlessly begging and whining for. Myabe I am just stuborn and contrary that way, but that is how I feel about it. If you give in to that kind of person, they begin to think what what they are doing is an effective way to get what they want , which just encourages more of the same annoying behavior. And that is very tiresome indeed.
New Logo!

Serenity made me a great new logo...it is perfect. I asked for red...cause that is my favorite color..maybe sparkly..maybe building stuff...just to give her some options...and she gave me everything. Very nice :) Now I have a siggy that matches the sims printing ..I love it. :)
A real Legacy

Never actually done a real live legacy all the way through...always get side tracked by the spare simmies and following them instead. With this new...\"life goes on without you\" set up, I am thinking that the time is ripe for me to do a real legacy. I wont feel I am abandoning the non heirs...they will be living around town. :). I notice they even supplied us with a legacy started lot in town...conveniently placed by some wild growing veggies and a fishing pond. Nice. Gonna go with a Gardener legacy...starting with Daisy....my favorite flower...and we will see whre it goes. Hope there are not too many male heirs...plant names dont lend themselves to boys names as easily, I think. Fir..Oak...Hawthorne..Juniper?
Middle of the night House Building

Stayed up most of the night taking care of Chloe( who is doing much better, thank goodness!) and once I got her comfortably asleep, I found I could not sleep myself. It had been such a tense icky kind of day. So I have been working on a new house that is influenced by one of the houses I built for Sims2 has always been a favorite of mine, so it deserves to be in Sims3. 4 large bedrooms and a formal dining and a study make it a great size for a family. I am going to play around with depreciation to see if I can knock it down in price to be very affordable too. Hope to have it done by this evening. :)

Just got back from taking my daughter to have her wisdom teeth taken out. They did the IV sedation so she was knocked out and when she came out of it, she was crying alot for no reason....she even said \" I dont know why I am crying\". It was upsetting for me to see her so upset and not be able to fix it. Dentist says this happens all the time..very common recation and not to worry..but I cant help but be worried. My urge is always to charge in and make everything better...I am the mom. I fix everything. I cant really do that at the moment..have to wait until all this medication wears off....so I feel powerless.
Base Game only Blues

I have to keep reminding myself that it is base game only....even though it is a new and \"advanced\" game...it is clear they held back quite a bit to give us stuff in the expansions. I expected that...it follows the pattern of Sims and Sims2. Regardless, it is still making it a bit difficult to build. Even with the new and AWESOME landscaping options, I find myself missing things like individual roof angles and split level foundadtion and all that other stuff that gives us builders more options. I hope I can come up with some decent stuff because right now I feel like I am trying to play piano with one hand tied behind my back.

My daughter graduates from high school on June 3rd....so I have people coming in from out of town..tons of stuff to do..food to cook..a house to clean...and all I really want to do is go get my copy of Sims3 tomorrow when it comes out and lock myself in a room for a week and do nothing else but play. Lol...what horrible timing. But..priorities.....
\r\nSo..I will be cleaning, cooking, taking pictures, crying a bit when she crosses the stage...and enjoying myself completely. But June 4th..when I get the last guest out of the door....look out! :)
