I\'m currently playing my cave couple the \"Stones \", which include Ro Stone (created by Ronin2rx\u2665 caveman extraordinaire ) and Ig Puff (my simself cave-woman \"party animal \"). *gigglesnort* While I had them working on their fishing skills Ro managed to reel in a special object.
When they got home I pulled out Mister Magical Gnome and let the game name him Jered, he quickly made himself comfortable...
I have to say Jered really was the most inactive Gnome I have reeled in to date, he pretty much slept the whole time and would only poof around the yard and always remain in the same sleeping position.
Guess it never occurred to me he might be lonely or bored. Sad to say I was neglectful of Jered and totally forgot about him as he poofed all over the place. So one day I was busy with the Stones (as usual) , but noticed Jered in the distance, somehow he looked odd?? Was he in a different position? Yet it seemed that was not the only difference as I zoomed in to check him out!
OMG!!! Jered had aged and I had never been able to have the Stone\'s reel in another Magical Gnome to be a friend, partner, etc. for him. How could I let that happen?? ...and how had he aged? I play with epic lifespan and aging off (yes, I know overkill! ) I guess Gnomes age regardless of your age settings for your Sims.
Anyway, I was feeling somewhat guilty that I had neglected to give Jered a full Gnome life, LOL. So I thought that now that he was an elder, who knew how much longer he would be around? So I opened up BuyDebug and got cracking on getting Jered the love of his life.
Enter Kirsten (spelling *note to self, write down my Gnomes names!*) ...and as long as I was in BuyDebug I figured I would place down all of the different types of Gnomes, guess if you\'re going to use a cheat, you may as well go all the way!
So I let the game name most of the Gnomes and wasn\'t sure if I needed to have female names to set the gender of a Gnome (or if it even mattered *gigglesnort*). I also wasn\'t sure if they had to be the same type of Gnome to produce a little one?? So I left it all up to chance on who Jered or any of the other males/females might choose as their partner.
Anyway, for the most part they poofed around the yard as a group, except a couple of times Blingaboo Gnome got stuck out on the street and I had to pull him back into the yard, LOL he\'s such a rebel. Although he did break off from the group with Pharaoh Gnome to watch a little TV.
Most of the time Jered and Kirsten were together and I noticed she was taking on Jered\'s habit of napping all the time. However it seemed with the new Gnomes invading Jered\'s home he seemed to be \"raising cane \" a lot and brought the Trog Gnome to his knees!!! Pharaoh gets all comfy to watch all the drama. Stone Gnome ponders whether violence is necessary to get one\'s point across ...Oi Vey!
That Vamp Gnome is always trying to look fierce and intimidate all the other Gnomes ...watch out Jered.
As usual the gang likes to hang in the garden ...while China Gnome was practicing his kung-foo skills, Trog was dragging his club looking like he wanted to bonk someone with it, but I had to laugh when it looks like Napoleon Gnome is crying because he might be the bonkee.
One night I found Jered all hunched over and looking worn out ...gasp, was the end near??
...only to see Kirsten looking quite happy and Laundry Gnome covering one eye ...wonders what that lil bear saw!
When I checked back later they were still by the garden, but to my delight I saw a small little form... and Kirsten napping LOL at Jered balancing on his cane!
So I zoom in ...
awww baby Leroy! Squeee to cute! My first baby Gnome...
In the light of day, proud papa Jered, glowing mommy Kirsten and cute as a button Baby Leroy.

The weather has also been soooo verrry HOT! We\'ve been in the 90\'s and with the humidity levels so high it feels like near 100\u00B0. For anyone feeling the effects of this heat wave, be careful when you are outdoors and don\'t get dehydrated ...drink plenty of fluids or just stay inside with the a/c on and stay cool!
Happy Simming All!
I\'ve been playing Generations as much as I have time for which isn\'t very much lately, because RL has a way of taking up my time ...as it should.
When I installed the game last week (I got it before the release date), the first patch didn\'t do much for my game play and I was crashing after snapping a couple of pics for memories ...then on the release date (5/31/11) when I tried to start up my game again, there was another patch/update and then my game played a little better, if I played a smaller household. So after all this hassle of trying to play this game that really doesn\'t want to work on my computer, I just have to remember that\'s it\'s just a game I play for fun and not get to upset if my computer finally decides it\'s had enough of this quirky running game.
Lately I\'ve had to ponder how some seem to take this site so seriously and then the drama that seems to ensue because of it and have wondered why ? While I think having a hobby is important to keep your mind off of RL worries, illnesses, etc., are people\'s lives so vapid that this place becomes an alternate life? ...a surreal reality? I hope not, because that is sad to think that there are so many unhappy/unfulfilled people in this world. For the most part, I have found people to be friendly to me on this site, but am not so naive to think that all have \"good intentions \". Being an adult, I certainly try to make an effort to treat people as I would like them to treat me, especially since there are so many \"children \" on this site. It does however surprise me sometimes at how some of the adults seem to \"act up \" more than the younger members. Whatever struggles that may or may not be going on in your lives, I would hope that all can understand that attached to these pix-elated characters are RL people and hope that you can remember to be respectful of their wishes, especially since they take the time to share their creations on this site to enhance everyone\'s games.
* The Way I See It
\"All unhappiness and stagnation result from feeling that you are at the mercy of the world and the people in it. But what a joy it is, what a major shift to strength and power, when you no longer wait around for others to favor and love you, for others to flatter and reward you. Reward and flatter yourself, favor and love yourself.\"
