I did pick up Island Paradise today, but I still want to continue on with the university expansion for a bit. I still have a full week left before the term ends. So far, my Sims are doing pretty well, so I'm proud of them.
There's four of them that still have classes left for the day before their weekend begins. To celebrate the expansion and their hardwork, I'm throwing them a pool party later in the evening, with a bunch of strangers. I guess they didn't socialize much at all with people outside of the dorm.
I just wanted to see what the new pool stuff looked like, so I didn't put much thought into organizing or color matching things yet. I do like waterfalls and slides though!
Also, I'm not sure why, but it feels like the quality of the pictures I've uploaded in the last couple of days that you see here hosted off imgur has gone down. I know it will compress it if the picture is bigger than a certain size, but I don't know why my previous photos weren't like that. I'll have to take a look and see, and possibly reupload the last couple of days.
And sure, just decide to go from the pool to your class in your bathing suit. That's what every student in college does, right?

Back to Work, Back to School

Whoa now, I bet you weren't expecting to see this blog updated again!
Real life had me completely bogged down after the art show ended (I won 'Best of Show' and my piece is being displayed a local museum later in the year!)... I've barely been able to check the Daily Deals, let alone have the time to play.
While I was gone, I started watching Let's Play videos of the Sims on YouTube by TheQuxxn - in particular, I started with her University series. She was having so much fun, and since I had never bothered to send my own Sims to school, I thought it would make a great set of photos to post!... even if it's the beginning of Summer when school is already over, and the new expansion is scheduled for release in two days.
I hope you'll enjoy the journey of my Sims, starting today with the Meet & Greet. Also as a disclaimer - if you notice the lighting is different, it's because since I'm on campus most of the time, I can't really manipulate the lights as I usually do, especially outdoors.
