Photographer skill/career, and CAW disappointment

I\'ve been building stuff, and finally also playing Ambitions - my current sim is a photographer (early career stages..). I love the different photo options (sizes & settings, and the freedom to take just the kind of picture you want), but I wish there weren\'t that many ruined photos when you\'re developing the skill.. It\'s frustrating to keep taking the same photo again and again, just to get a decent version, if it\'s something you actually want your sim to keep and decorate their home with.
Today, I first installed the Create a Pattern tool, and made my first simple pattern, just to test it. It seems quite handy.
Then, I decided to finally try the Create a World tool, which I installed when it was released (and updated since), but never actually tried.
What a disappointment!
CAW won\'t run at all - I keep getting an error message, saying it\'s crashed.. =/
I uninstalled it, downloaded and installed again, and updated.. Then I tried to launch it again. No joy.
I checked the forums, and got the impression that CAW isn\'t working for anyone, right now? (At least, loads of people were experiencing the same problem, and there were loads of posts about people waiting for it to be fixed..)
I hope they\'ll fix it soon as I have world plans.....
