I made a point last night to hide the badges that were posted to my page by accident, and they are back!? Why? Geez, this is becoming a nightmare. I\'ve had enough embarrassment for one day.

I have to say, I have felt pretty low today. The badge \'thing\' freaked me out and made me feel utterly stupid.
But just as I started to shut down for the night, I notice I have a new message. A gift!

I\'m just going to copy what I posted in the thread entitled: Why Display a Badge You Have Not Earned? May not be the exact words but it\'s close enough.

I noticed a week or so ago that I had these badges and was amazed!\r\nI thought nothing of it except how cool it was that I had earned badges\r\nalready! So, feeling as proud as a Sim with triplets, I added it to my\r\navatar. Then I was offline for a few days; came back today (after my\r\ngame crashed, or I would still be playing), and decided for whatever\r\nreason to check out General Discussion. I normally go straight to the\r\n\'Ambitions\' forum.

I saw the heading of this thread and being curious, I read the\r\nOP\'s remarks. To say I was mortified is putting it lightly. Yes, you\r\nare looking at one of the dumbest people ever. Me. I went straight to\r\nmy page and almost got sick. I counted, and may have 8 or 9\r\nrecommendations, if that many. 8 or 9! At that moment I felt like the\r\nbiggest moron that ever lived.

How in the name of Goth could I even think I earned a badge? Turns\r\nout that I \'thought\' it because I saw the Guru\'s congratulations, took\r\nit at face value and added the badge to my avatar. I do remember\r\nthinking how cool it was that so many people liked my pathetic\r\n\'creations\' and I even glanced briefly at the downloads and thought,\r\nwow, they sure do add up. I did not even notice the RECOMMENDATION\r\ncolumn! Until this thread anyway. I did not walk, I ran to my page and\r\nafter fumbling around trying to figure out how to remove that badge, I\r\ndid remove it and such a sigh of relief you have never heard. It\'s\r\namazing how one screw-up can cause a person to feel so stupid and even\r\nashamed. I meant no harm, I was proud of that badge I thought I earned.\r\nUntil now.

So I just wanted to publicly humiliate myself because it will\r\nteach me to stop and pay attention next time rather than taking things\r\nat face value. I can only find solace in the fact that I found this\r\nthread and was able to \'fix\' my mistake as well.

I do think that this can be a lesson that some of us are just fine\r\nmorally, we only need to pay attention. If something looks too good to\r\nbe true, it usually is.

Although I had already thanked her personally, I wanted to add the sweet friends\' name who gifted me to the thread. I came back to my page to check the spelling only to find the message is no longer here. (Or I\'ve gone blind).

...I was able to Download the Electronic base game and install my EP\'s. I actually played the game today! : ) I had forgotten how exciting it is to watch three sims reading/skilling. Took my breath away! : / *makes note to use triple speed more often*
What amazed me was the fact that I didn\'t even flinch when I was faced with buying a new base game! Another $50 just to be able to play again?! Seriously, I play maybe once a week, usually a marathon session that lasts until the game crashes, which it did a few minutes ago. I think I could have sent my disk to EA and for a fee, they would clean/fix it. At least that\'s what I heard a few years ago. I can only assume it was a disk issue, as the game stopped loading at the same spot each of the 30 times I tried re-installing. ; ) Some data error, I forget. I\'ll save the disc, for sentimental reasons.
As for the electronic D/L, I was unable to download the manual (with the game code) properly; it\'s just a lot of gibberish. I hope I don\'t have to uninstall again, I\'ll be up the creek with no paddle.
Well, let\'s see...in other news, I go into the Hospital next Thursday. Not looking forward to that, but I should be home in a few days. Unless...the Grim Reaper comes calling while I\'m under the knife. Ack. Just kidding. : ) I think. : /

...actually beyond frustrated!!! I have tried for two days now-TWO DAYS! to order an electronic download of the Base game, thinking it would be quick and easy. Then I would be able to install my EP\'s and get back to exploring Ambitions. Hah!
Every time I try, I get a \'wrong\' something, it really doesn\'t matter. I have replaced my PW 10 times (at least) and still I am not recognized by gamestop, but I can click on the \'my account\' button and it shows when I bought Ambitions back in May!
Please, somebody, please blow up my computer (or gamespot) and put me out of my frustrated misery! It should NOT be this hard to order a game!!!

I have been defeated. I have jumped through hoops to get the base game to install,-with NO luck. Still get the same error. (opens another box of tissues).
I wonder if I bought a new base game, if it would work? Or even an electronic download? I wish I could bounce ideas off of someone. I feel ridiculous asking peeps in the tech section, it isn\'t quite a tech issue, but it does seem better than GD or the Amb section.

...not going well. I have tried about 7 times to re-install the base game, Sims3, to no avail. I continuously get a pop-up stating:
File: D: \\Game|Bin\\Resources\\bhei01.ttf...Error:Data error (cyclic redundancy check)...with the options of \'retry\' or \'cancel\'
Of course neither option works. I wish we could communicate better. As it is, I will C&P to the Tech section and hope for the best.
I loved the new EP, now it is gone. But with the weirdness of the Mom\'s arms stretching to infinity and the babies disappearing, it wasn\'t fun anymore. Babies are my favorite part. (Family Wise, that is).
I sure seem to need obi-wans\' help a lot lately! : )

...reinstall my games. I normally wouldn\'t do it this soon, but the thing I have always loved most, the babies (awwww) are messed up. It is hard to describe, but they have progressed from bi-colored to invisable. I removed what few CC items I had installed, but the babies are not normal.
So here we go...reinstall!!!

I cannot believe I just saw a thread entitled BORED BY AMBITIONS on the forum. What? Go to bed without dinner, you little sad person. Or at least give the EP to someone who will love it. Then go to bed w/o dinner. *sigh*

People! This is by far the BEST EP ever! I love it! I have not begun to scratch the surface but what I have discovered is so cool!
I introduced myself to each pre-made family, and there are so many! I love that! Just jump in and play, no need to spend hours in CAS, just do it! Sims, houses, furniture, it\'s all there. You know why I love that? It gives me the perfect opportunity to explore, try new things, learn my way around. Then when I feel like it, I can spend a day making the perfect family, the perfect house, etc. Isn\'t it perfect?

World's Collide

I can\'t seem to find a really nice world that has all the basics, such as stores, libraries, work places, etc. The ones I have discovered are \'virgin\' worlds and that is not what I want. I understand many of you do want to start from the ground up, but all I want is to have a world that is player ready and needs only to have the homes added, some with families, some without. Much like what we have already. I get a little tired of same-o, same-o and giving me a new town (such as Twinbrook) is so cool. I don\'t ask for much. Come on guys, give me at least a partial town, how \'bout it? : D

Password. Sounds simple doesn\'t it? You think of a cool set of letters, numbers, lowercase, uppercase, apply them and Poof! You have a password! No one else knows your PW, only you. So cool. Or not.
I entered my pw tonight, only to be told it was invalid. Invalid? Why, I spent an hour last night making sure the site and I agreed that my new pw was valid! They didn\'t say anything about oh...expires in 24 hours...or...we will humiliate you for hours...until you think, literally, that you cannot remember your own name.
Does anyone know who runs the PassWord department? Is some geeky girl who has been forbidden to secretly change millions of SimSiteFans PassWords while they sleep? Did she renege on this forbidden rule? I can see it now...fade to the basement...
\"Sadie; how many times must we tell you not to change the nice little boys and girls, (and their Mommies and Daddies who pretend not to play) Passwords? They get very mad at us when you do that!
