I had enough of people not believing I have a disabity so I'm going to talk about it now
POSTED ON 06/19/12
I have a problem called Chromse 18p- (this is actually what I had, I thought for a while it Turner's Syndrome since it a bit similar). Chrosome 18p- is when the leg of an a Chrosome (the 18th one) is missing from the Chrosome this affects anything around/down the middle: so my vision, hearing, ovaries, and growth is affected by this problem and I also have  low motor skills unless I'm at a computer. When I was in elementary school I had to have speech therapy (I don't know if it had anything to do with me only being able to say baby words in Junior kinder garden). I always have problems when I have to go to the washroom for the *other* reason that's not peeing.

well according to the website where I'm getting all this information from and have been since January. People with 18p- may also have some challenges with adaptive skills. The phrase "adaptive skills" refer to a person's social skills and level of independence.

A (rare) sign of this disability is one's two front teeth coming in as just one tooth.

I would post a picture of myself to show you the tooth, but since we can't share anything personally on here.

We are working on getting me tested for austim. We only realized since I was 18 I might have it or at least be on the boardline for it.

We are working with I guess you called it "Outreach" worker to help me to see if I can get services for Ontario.

I'm only allowed to go to places I (and my parents) know with people my parents know (ie. church people or girlfriends-3 of which fit it the former category).  I would LOVE to go into Toronto, but because of police attitude to people who are 'different', that can't happen (see Toronto Star for details).

I have low motor skills which means I am unable to braid my hair. I can only brush the "loose ends" of my hair but what's the point when my hair will just get messy again? These low motor skills is also the reason that I can't do handwriting, I can print, but it takes forever and when in late elementary school (ie, Gr.6-Gr.8) I used an alpha smart to write stuff. I also used an alpha smart in high school too (I think Gr.11).

My mom has cooked, cleaned, changed the beds for the family (and is the one who usallay braids my hair-even though sometimes my Dad or my older sister does it instead), and even packs my suitcase and kit, every since I can remember except for late spring and early-mid summer of '07 when she sprained her ankle. I only ever cooked one meal and that was two Aprils ago (2012) and the same year (2007) she sprained her ankle was the first time I did the laundry, I also did the laundry last year when mom was away first in Asia (Korea and China) and then when she was at my Grandparents' old home helping them move. Since she's such a stickler with how stuff should be done, I just prefer to stay out of her way.

I mean I been bugging her for ages about letting me help her cook but the only thing she allows me to do is cutting veggies which I am SICK of doing! Dad lets me help with the entire meal (like taco salad or chilli)

I been trying since I was 13 to not have  cows but when one's cooped up in the house most of the time is it any wonder I have cows with my dad or anyone else in the house?

My mom thinks that one of the options for me is being a stock person.

It appears I always have had aggressive behaviour even in off-computer time but I wasn't aware of it until now thanks to some "Testing" from local school board
