Squeaky Wheel Gets Oiled! XD

I wasn't able to be online yesterday, but knew the EA store was going to put out a new set called the "The 5th Avenue Fashion Set". So I checked out the new set this morning to find it was on sale for 1040 Sim Points and thought what a great sale. 
I like to check out the Store forum before buying anything from the EA store in case there might be a problem with the items or purchasing. 
Found a thread where people were complaining about having bought the set yesterday for the sale price of 1350 Sim Points. 
They of course were screaming foul and started calling EA customer service for a refund, and believe it or not some of them managed to get 310 points refunded. 
A SimGuru finally posted on the thread saying it was a error & congrat's to the people who managed to get the set for the 1040 sale price. So basically the squeaky wheel(s) got oiled & the rest of us are left paying the higher price! 
Sometimes it feels like some people can't cut a break while others just seem to breeze on through without a care in the world. 
Guess I'll wait on buying that set, this kind of thing always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

The Big Announcement :D

Was out most of the day so I don't know what time they actually announced that EA is going to be releasing TS4 in 2014, but it's official now! It's on the home page and news section.
They even have a new forum section for TS4 to create threads and posts. So of course I was over there lurking for awhile and there are people who are ecstatic (myself included in this group) that you won't have to be online to play. In fact the core base game isn't going to require it to be played online and it will still be a single player game ...then there are those who are disappointed that it isn't going to be an online game, but if you read the sticky thread by SGHydra it says they will discuss the online options they are going to make available at a later date. However, the thread I was reading where the OP is disappointed about the game not being on line did get derailed by some one telling the OP she was "drunk", Whut! Makes me wonder if the TS4 forums will be filled with the same ol' mean posters who have nothing better to do but create drama on the forums.
Well I guess TS3 will be over soon, but hey we've got a new world coming out, a new SP and 2 EP's before it all over and I plan on enjoying this series as much as I can before I decide if I want to do this for a third time ( I missed TS1).

Well it's the first day of May and yesterday we got into the 80's and today is supposed to be just as hot.
Ro & I got home around noon and it was already pretty hot outside, thank goodness most of the places we went to have the heat turned off now & have switched on their a/c. 
Even though the weather is supposed to cool off for the weekend, at least the warm weather is starting & summer is going to be here soon. Well enough about the weather, I know I've been writing about it a lot lately, but mehh this blog is supposed to be for Off Topic nonsense, right?? 
I've been lurking over on the store forum and there is a new set being released this Thursday & it looks like a gambling theme.
I've been reading the sticky'ed thread by SGTaterTot here: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/673303.page
and people are in an uproar that it looks just like the Black Jack table with the SimBot dealer, Say Whut!? 
As always people posted positive comments at first, then as expected it went downhill as the week progressed and people are pretty PO'd to be buying something that is so similar to what we've already bought. 
Mehh I don't know why they are arguing about it so much, if you don't like it then don't buy it, after all no one is twisting your arm to buy it. 
Don't get me wrong I don't like buying the same item either, regardless if it has new animations or a lame mustache 
, but I'll wait to see what it looks like and read the reviews of the people who will buy it right away so I'll know whether I want spend any of my hard earned money on it. 
I've certainly had to cut back on my spending in the EA store since they've been putting out so many things that aren't working properly. 
If I'm going to buy it as is
, then I want it as for as cheap as I can get it, like a sale or a daily deal. 
Anyway I hope everyone has a great May!
