I read about the structure
POSTED ON 03/04/26
Before I joined a group, I read about the structure behind it and how the board is built around different levels of awareness. I checked lila-game.net/ to understand what the 72 squares represent and why the game uses dice as part of the process. That helped me see it’s not random self-help fluff but based on an older philosophical model. When I finally played, I brought a work-related question about why I procrastinate on projects that actually matter to me. During the session, I kept landing on states connected to doubt and illusion. At first I thought, “Okay, coincidence.” But the repetition made me uncomfortable in a good way. I realized I often hide behind “I need more time” when really I’m afraid of failing publicly. One thing that helped me was writing down every square I landed on and connecting it to real examples in my life. After the session, I journaled more because insights fade quickly once you’re back to everyday stress. My advice is to be specific with your intention and brutally honest in your reflections. It’s not about predicting the future. It’s more like holding up a mirror and deciding what to do with what you see. If you treat it seriously but stay grounded, it can be surprisingly practical.
