Sims Medieval Second Opinion
POSTED ON 03/24/11
After another day, I began enjoying Sims Medieval more. I especially like the spy. I have him mixing up all sorts of potions and poisons. It\'s definitely better when you get a few more characters going. I still wish it were more like Sims 3, though.
First Impressions of the Sims Medieval
POSTED ON 03/24/11
I naively envisioned the Sims Medieval to be Sims 3 with medieval clothes and buildings, along with some quests a la World Adventures. Alas, after playing a few hours, I am disappointed. I find it incredibly frustrating that I can\'t turn my camera 360 degrees (except in limited scenes) and zoom in very close to my characters. Lots of action takes place in rabbitholes with simple message boxes (is this really 2011?). Buildings are preset (no castle designing!), and there are fewer sliders, character traits, and needs. There\'s something lacking about the quests that I can\'t quite put my finger on. In fact, the Sims Medieval seems like a stripped down version of the Sims 3 directed at a younger audience, perhaps the tween market.

Perhaps my opinion will improve once I get used to living in a diorama, but I\'m disappointed I spent so much money on it.
