"It was only a taste. Why, are you jealous? Do you need to be tasted, too?" --Michael jerks back in shock, but Gabriel follows him. --"Don't fight," Gabriel whispers. "I won't hurt you. Just bare your neck for me." --"Stop!" Michael pushes him away. "It is unholy! It is unclean!" --"It feels good," Gabriel assures. |

Only the taste of blood would cause an angel to turn as dark as he has. Michael feels absolutely sick. "Please, Father, show me what to do. I want to be his companion, but I cannot abide his darkness. Please, show me how to fix this!" |

"It was not meant to hurt you, Brother. Sh, don't cry." Gently he rubs Michael's back. "I love you, too. I know you feel that Feeding is wrong. I almost never do it.
