Philippa Eilhart was the advisor of Redania's King, later mentoring the King's son Radovid, who became the most terrifying king in the history. Radovid's behavior was also imputed by Philippa's lessons and punishments. She was made blind by the order of Radovid at the time he was occupying the throne.
She helped found the Lodge of Sorceresses and is considered its leader.
She is one of the few sorceresses able to polymorph, turning herself into a owl.
