The Summers Manor was at one point the pinnacle of modern living in town. As the middle class grew in the mid 19th century, land became much more affordable in area, and more lovely homes began to appear around the Summers Manor, until the neighborhood value skyrocketed, and construction reached a halt. Plenty of those homes are still here though, along with the one that started it all.
