Lily was a water elemental - an undine - and had spent her existence at the mouth of a large river that emptied into the ocean. She'd tired of the never-ending lovesick stories of the mermaids and the men they'd fallen for. Lily was curious what made the dry world so interesting to the mermaids, and decided to find out for herself - without dragging love into the picture.
