After his wife ran off with his best friend, big shot director/family man became broken man/workoholic man. Everything fell apart after. First, it was his eldest girl, who ate and ate and ate, and then became a 'pop star.' Then it was his only son, who turned to partying to ease his problems, as well as being a model. His last daughter, his youngest, stopped eating altogether and broke away from her family, preferring anonimity to celebrity. Their housekeeper, Elliot, has to watch them break.
