Legacy Update: Founder Tweaked, Story to Begin

I know I blogged last week about how my Legacy had begun, and gave some details on my founder. I did end up tweaking her a bit, and finalized how my Legacy is going to go. Because I want to do the Storyteller part of the challenge, I really wanted to make sure I had a story to tell. You know, make it interesting.
Bordeaux does have a different personality, and a different home. Instead of Sunset Valley, I moved her over to Riverview (no worries, I started again, I did not cheat after starting the Legacy) and gave her the Green Thumb and Family-Oriented traits. I\'ve also given her some backstory in her bio. Bordeaux should be up on the Exchange later today on her starting lot.
The updated traits for Bordeaux Vineyard are:
Also, I have decided to take on ALL of the three optional challenges for the Legacy - Storyteller, Matriarchy, and Family Trait. I have big plans for this Legacy, no doubt about that! =D

Announcing the Vineyard Legacy

I started my first TS3 Legacy last night. I do plan to take on both the Storyteller and Family Trait optional plays, and potentially even make it a Matriarchy. Haven\'t decided yet.
Anyway, the Legacy will follow the family of Bordeaux Vineyard. I\'ve been wanting to do a wine-themed Legacy for awhile now, and am uber-psyched that it is underway!
To give a little preview, Bordeaux is a Young Adult in Sunset Valley. She has deep red hair with a purple undertone. Her traits include Natural Cook, Perfectionist, Snob, Flirty, and Over-Emotional. As they are a Legacy based on wine culture, the Vineyard\'s family trait will be Natural Cook.
Bordeaux\'s lifetime want is the be a 5-Star Celebrity Chef.

New rules are set to post today by Pinstar in the forums. Even though I never completed a Sim Legacy in TS2, I\'m still just as ambitious to start one in TS3!

Using TS3 for Good

I came across this today from my Boing Boing feed, and I must say I couldn\'t stop until I read every word and subscribed to the site myself. I\'m sure many have heard of it already, but it is simply wonderful.
It\'s the story of Alice and Kev. http://aliceandkev.wordpress.com/
What I love is that it is not only a well-written story, it doesn\'t just involve The Sims 3, but that it is done with a social conscious in mind. It captivates the audience on the story, and offers means of helping the real-life Alice and Kev\'s in the world.
