Things I hate.
- teeeeny-tiny thumbnails in the garden section.
- teeeeny-tiny section of the colour wheel that I like to hang out in best - the middle. :P Very difficult to navigate in the middle
- bare walls and foundation floors (when building) are daaaark and ugly. Bring back the plywood and drywall!!!
- slow load times of all the patterns in some categories, especially bigger categories.
Things I love.
- beautiful flowers and trees
- easily customizing most anything to suit my own tastes
I\'ll keep adding to this as I go. :D
I should probably make some kind of list of things I love, things I think they improved, things I think they borked... But I\'m too lazy. *rolls eyes*
Generally, depending on what career my sims are in, the play is more challenging. The open neighorhood thing is a-maze-ing. I love it totally. The customization means it takes me flipping 5 times as long to build a house as it used to. *rolls eyes yet again*
I don\'t like that the Launcher will only use a Microsoft product to browse the Sims 3 website. *grrrr* Like, good grief. I DO have a default browser, and it ain\'t IE. :P
I adore the Journalism career. I have a sim in it right now, and it\'s so cool that you have to do so much outisde of work to get the promotions. Superb job.
Once again, I\'m hooked. *sigh*
One thing I don\'t like is that plants, when placed on the second floor with \"moveobjects on\", do not actually believe they are on the second floor. Oh, they\'ll stay there for awhile, but just don\'t save and quit and go back in. Because they will all drop to ground level while you are gone and they\'ll hide under the foundation on you.
Eee-yah. *rolls eyes*
I do love customizing the heck out of the house and floors and furniture. I love most of the gameplay. The build mode is finicky, I hate that, but the plants are a-maze-ing, so I\'m placated by that bit. ;)
I\'ve spent two days (on and off between laundry loads) building 15 Summerhill Court. Despite not being able to place garden plants on the second level in a couple of places, and despite not being able to do things I could have done with my Sims 2 game because it\'s base game right now, I\'m really happy with the house. I hated landscaping in Sims 2 - but in Sims 3, I got it done first! LOL
I really do love the open neighbourhood. I think I had these niggling doubts in my mind about it, but they\'re soooo gone. It\'s a beautiful thing, it really is.
My first Sim has been challenging because it seems hard to make the scads of money she wanted. Um, *I* wanted. LOL So she was so focussed on that, that she didn\'t have time for love. (Well, she did - with an office co-worker who was happy to make out with her on the bed but wouldn\'t go further because he was married. Freak. I mean, if yer gonna be faithful, then let\'s be faithful all the way, shall we?)
I adore, just adore, the Create-a-Style for the homes. I haven\'t built yet, but I\'ve added on a bit, and redecorated quite a bit. I found a wood tone on a table that I liked, I saved it, and then all the other furniture can have matching wood so they look like more of a set! It\'s amazing!
OK, I could do commercials for them now, I really could. It\'s sickening, isn\'t it? *sigh*
