When Nana spotted Bo at the park he was cooking wild vegetables on the grill. She was impressed with the way he had prepared them. She watched from a distance for several days before talking to him. Upon learning a little bit of his story, she invited him to stay at her place, and told him about an opening at the diner that he could try for.
