Ultra Innigh Uploaded
POSTET 20.08.2010

I have now uploaded the second of the twins and again for people who don\'t have time to look through loads of pictures, I will post a couple here with links to the required bits and pieces for those who want to take their time browsing :)

First, download is here

Extra pictures are available on the wordpress blog here (please note, that if you wish to subscribe to the blog you must use the subscribe tab at the top of the page, otherwise you are only subscribing to the comments on this particular page!)

If you wish to leave a comment you can do so on my blog or on the comments thread in the forum here

And now the pictures. This was the room that changed the house into two lots.... this was the living room of the original which ended up not at all suiting the exterior of the house but I liked it so much I had to keep it:

The kids bedroom was so easy to make and then once I started playing with the coloured lights (the first time I\'ve done this) I realised I just had to let it stay like that for the upload and carried it across into the bathrooms and other bedroom.

Speaking of which, the master was a lot harder to put together than the teen\'s room. I struggled a bit with the layout here but it was again great fun playing with the lights.

Last some exterior shots, which I personally think are at their best in this house at sunset, especially if placed on the lot it was originally built on.

The other twin is coming!
POSTET 18.08.2010

Been preparing to upload the second of the twin houses.... have just posted the preview on my walkthrough site. It\'s rather different to the Classic Gem, very much more Ultra... hence the name.

I\'ve also been working on some other houses recently. I currently have two WIPs that I\'m working on, Twister and Eco. Twister is quite old now, I think I came up with the shell back in January some time but due to my little hiatus I didn\'t get a whole lot done, which as it turned out was just as well as installing the latest patch corrupted my build hood. Luckily all of my builds were saved to the library... except twister. However I have no recreated the shell and come up with a far suprior floor plan to the one I had. Thanks to the re-coding of the how the window reflections work, I\'ve had to take out a lot of the interior windows I had in the build as you simply can\'t see anything through them any more. I\'ve recently finished the kitchen for that build and will be moving onto the other areas as soon as Eco is done.

Speaking of Eco, I\'ve been busy beavering away at it. in about 3 1/2 days I\'ve gone from having no ideas at all to having a house that has a complete garden, and a complete ground floor! All that\'s left is the first floor and the studio shed! And the feed back I\'ve had so far from the people who\'ve seen pictures has been fantastic! So thank you thank you thank you to ALLIUM for her wonderful inspiration and pushing me into googling house pictures for inspiration! Go check out her builds.... they\'re amazing!

Subscribing to Wordpress
POSTET 18.08.2010
I\'ve been updating my wordpress blog today. I have now added the email subion widget to the side bar. This means that if you use wordpress you can press it and subscribe and if you don\'t and are willing to provide an email addy, you can press, submit your email and subscribe.

Just to explain the reasoning behind my blog for any of you who do not know, back at the beginning of the year the sims site deleted all of the stored story pictures for my walkthroughs basically making them null and void. Since I wasn\'t going to spend 7 hours per walkthrough (which is about how long it takes me to resize and upload and place and word all the pictues) I decided to take them elsewhere. A friend suggested wordpress and since then all my walkthroughs have been hosted there.

As such my blog contains:

  1. all of the walkthroughs to all the houses I have posted so far,
  2. pictures of other work I have done or houses which for various reason I can not upload,
  3. blog posts on how I am getting on with current WIPs,
  4. occasionally pictures of those WIPs,
  5. sneak previews of upcoming builds (normally uploaded on the wednesday or thursday before they are due to be uploaded),
  6. an oportunity for you to comment and leave messages for me which as we all know can\'t be done here,
Classic Gem Upload
POSTET 06.08.2010

Just uploaded my latest lot, well, not really my latest since it was finished before Alice Grove was but the latest upload. It\'s the first half of a set of \"twin\" houses. I won\'t bore again with the story of how I ended up with two of them, it\'s all in the blog here or at wordpress. The walkthrough for the Classic Gem is located on the blog as well, here but again, for those of you who don\'t have the time to look through all the pictures here are a selection to give you a feel for the style of the house:

The house is deocrated throughout in a more classic modern style. The colour scheme of the house is made up of beige, brown and cream with black with a focus on natural materials, cottons, leather, wood, the odd bit of metal works it\'s way in though. Below the lounge shows the typical style of the house.

The study next door continues in the same vein but with a different distribution of the colours to mix things up a bit. The home has wooden floors throughout, except in the teen bedroom and the bathrooms.

The master bedroom is decked out the same way as the downstairs of the house with same fixtures and fittings, it includes a seating area, dressing area and has an ensuite bathroom as well as access to the private balcony.

The teen bedroom is the one room that breaks the colours scheme of the house, allowing the occupant to express themselves while still fitting with the feel and style of the house. The room includes a foosball table, tv and gaming area as well as a dresser and study area (and of course a bed!)

The outdoor area offers fantastic views of the coastline, throughout the day and at night. The perfect place for a private party or fundraiser. Plenty of seating for all the guests, easy access to the pool, a bar and BBQ area.
