Opinion of Sims3 now that I've experienced playing it

I\'ve played the Sims3 now and while I thought it would have enough to keep me entertained until the next EP, I\'m finding out it\'s so much like Sims 2 I am growing bored with it. I\'m finding I play Spore (with the Creepy&Cute & Galactic Adventures) more than Sims3. This is probably due to the fact I\'m more of a animal/nature person than a people person :-).
I would probably play Sims3 more if they still had the photo album and story telling feature without having to upload to the website. This is what I enjoyed most about Sim2 and without it in Sim3, it makes the game rather boring for me. If they still had this I wouldn\'t have to turn off the progression mode as if anything changed when I last played a family, I could just take a snap shot and continue my story line right there instead of having to upload to the website and edit a story. This is just too time consuming for me. It was so much easier with Sims2..
I do like the seamless play. This is a big plus. I like the customization and find I do spend more time decorating and building homes/lots than actually playing the game.
As they say, to each their own. I\'m sure I\'ll continue to play Sims3 just not as much as I have played the other sims in the past. EA is getting my money one way or another as if I\'m not playing Sims, I\'m playing Spore :-).
BTW, if you\'re a friend. Don\'t pay attention to my movies or story pages. As you can tell I\'ve started this but I\'m not getting very far as it\'s just too time consuming. Maybe one day when I\'m bored of Spore and Sims 3 altogether I\'ll spend time working on stories or movies.
