Me: \"Hi, I\'m wondering if you know when you guys will be expecting your shipment of the Sims 3 game?\"
Nice Shop Attendant: \"Well, I can tell you when EA says they\'ll release it.\"
[Was that my question? I think not. Do you think I know when EA is going to release it if I\'m calling you about it? I think so. *rolls eyes* So just for being brainless, I made him go look it up.]
Me: \"Sure, that\'d be great.\" *rolling eyes*
Nice Shop Attendant: *shuffle tap-tap shuffle shuffle* \"Uhhhh, just one minute here...\" *search in drawers, nothing; search on countertop, nothing; search in bathrooms, nothing. Rats* \"Uhhh....\"
[No word of a lie, it took him 2 minutes to look up what I could have told him in one second!]
Nice Shop Attendant: \"It\'s due to be released on June 2.\"
Me: [very patiently, cuz I\'m like that] \"That\'s great! [very slowly, so he understands] Do you have any idea when your shop might be getting the games in after that date?
Nice Shop Attendant: \"Well, that depends on when the trucks come in, really. There isn\'t really any way we know for sure.\"
So there\'s the rub. After almost 5 minutes on the phone with him, I get the answer to the question I was calling about. Sort of.
However, I\'m thinking they do know when stuff comes in each week, but they\'re scared to death of folks like me who\'ll trample their nice little shop down in our hurry to get the freaking thing installed on our computers and get freaking playing so we can freaking ignore our lives for just a-freaking -while!!!
[Did I say that out loud???]
The layout of the My Page area is nice, the navigation good, features are nice and easy to use - another two thumbs up!
And gosh, look at this - I can make things bold or italic and make lists and insert links in my blog! Niiiice upgrade!
I just might find this My Page fairly useful this go \'round. ;) I\'m off to explore some more. It\'s the only thing keeping me going until the game gets into my hot little hands. :P
