Suburban Chic
My entry for Mystik\'s contest: the renovated DogPatch-lot in Riverview.

When I accepted the invitation of the Mystikal Madness Corporation, immediately rushed to the scene, to see the area and survey the possibilities - which unfortunately was not too much. I heard that the city council (at the request of the neighbors) planted trees around this tiny bungalow to interfere less in the view, so I immediately felt this job close to my heart, because everyone has to start somewhere, even if you have only a little money saved. Not everybody has the opportunity to move to a large palace.
I decided that I\'ll use cheap, but quality of materials, furniture and accessories, let the neighbours be jelaous for this beautiful jewelry box. I wanted to create a house which fits into the environment, but mark out from it with its pretty charm.
First I proposed a minimum conversion and enlargement, which won\'t be a great expense to the budget: the entrance moved to the wider side, and the bathroom to the center of the house - and the little enlargement gave a chance to create a second bathroom connected to the master bedroom increasing its comfort. The interior is romantic and elegant, the little details make it more irresistible. The garden\'s main attraction is the pond with the little island, but there are two daisy-spots, which would be perfect to establish a grill-terrace and a playground - when the next owner\'s wallet permits - till then they will decorate the garden well.
With using only a small part of the budget, the lot became more comfortable and pretty. So lets talk about the price: it\'s only 25,391 Simoleons alltogether, but the unfurnished version would fit to an absolutely starter sim or family, because it\'s only 16,189 Simoleons - still starter.
I hope, the lot will find its new owner soon with these changes.
I didn\'t want to raise the price above this, so had to miss some of my other ideas with this lot, but simply loved every part of the decoration, so I was unable to remove any of them. I didn\'t changed the main outside walls too much (just with only two \'doghouses\'. Also added a lot of more comfortable items. There\'s a fire alarm (behind the fridge) and a dishwasher too.
