Hugo Llorez, 38, has shared a heartfelt message from the Tottenham legend after choosing a new challenge.

Yoris moved to LAFC of the Major League Soccer (MLS) on Dec. 31 last year. He made 447 appearances in 11 seasons with Spurs. He is eighth on Spurs' all-time list for appearances.

The Times published an interview with Yoris on June 26. He opened up about the process of parting ways with Spurs.

"What happened to the club after I retired from the national team meant I was on a different page. I spoke to the chairman, Daniel Levy, and I sensed the end of an era at Tottenham. I felt that Tottenham was starting a new beginning, and I understood completely," he confessed.

"We decided to part ways, but I was patient and waiting for the right move, even if I didn't find the right team in the summer. It seemed a bit strange from the outside, but I was committed to training and I was ready to leave," he added.

Yoris tried to escape Tottenham in the summer transfer window last year. He didn't even accompany the team on their pre-season tour. He wanted to find a new home, 토토사이트 and coach Enze Postecoglou said he deserved it.

He trained with Spurs but played "zero minutes". Yoris' place was taken by Guglielmo Vicario.

"When Postecoglou arrived, the situation was clear. The club presented him with the goalkeeping situation and he decided to bring in Vicario. So I didn't have any problems with Postecoglou. It was a friendly relationship," he explained.

Yoris has been the signature goalkeeper of the French national team for an era. With 145 caps, he is France's most capped player of all time, surpassing Liliane Touraine (142).

He played in four World Cups, including the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and lifted the World Cup trophy in Russia in 2018. Yoris retired from the French national team early last year.

"Postecoglou had a really good idea about soccer, and he had his own beliefs. "He's brought a different style of football to what we've been used to for the last four or five years. "He's transformed us into a really attacking team, which is what Tottenham fans expect. It reminded me of Mauricio Pochettino's time at Spurs."

Yi was named captain of Tottenham under Pochettino and handed over the armband to Son Heung-min ahead of this season.
