Pepper Savings Bank fought well without Yasmin.

Pepper Savings Bank's losing streak, which included foreign player Yasmin's shoulder injury, stretched to 20 games. It ties the record for the longest losing streak in the women's division.

Pepper Savings Bank suffered a 2-3 (25-21, 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 7-15) reverse sweep against GS Caltex in the fifth round of the Dodram 2023-2024 V League Women's Division at Pepper Stadium in Gwangju on November 6.

With the loss, Pepper Savings Bank fell into a 20-game losing streak dating back to last November 15 against Korea Expressway Corporation. Pepper Savings Bank is on the verge of becoming the first team in history to lose 21 consecutive matches in a row, matching the longest losing streak in the women's league by KGC Ginseng Corporation (currently led by Jeong Kwan-jang) in the 2012-2013 season.

With Yasmin out with a shoulder injury, the stakes were high before the match, but Pepper Savings Bank made an unexpected comeback in sets one and two. Park led the way in the first set, scoring five points with two service aces, one block and one back-attack. In the second set, Asia Quarter Phillips paced the team with seven points, including two blocks.

However, GS Caltex fought back in the third set. After giving up five consecutive points at 10-11 to lose the third set, Pepper Savings Bank tied the game at 18-18 in the fourth set, 안전놀이터 but back-to-back errors took away the momentum. With a 16-10 record and 45 points, third-place GS Caltex widened the gap to four points over fourth-place Jungkwanjang (13-13-41).

Pepper Savings Bank suffered a heartbreaking reverse sweep as Park Jung-ah exploded for a season-high 26 points but couldn't fill Yasmin's void. Pepper Savings Bank, which sits at the bottom of the seventh place with a 2-25 record and eight points, will become the first team in the women's league to lose 21 consecutive games in a row if it also loses against IBK Sangsung Bank in Hwaseong on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, in the men's match at Chungmu Gymnasium in Daejeon, OK Financial Group defeated Samsung Fire in straight sets, 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 25-22). Leo exploded for a team-high 40 points and a 74.07% attack percentage to lead OK Financial Group to victory.

With a 15-11 record and 43 points, OK Financial Group jumped two spots in the standings from fifth to third. On the other hand, Samsung Fire, which lost its third straight game, dropped one spot to fourth with a 15-12 record and 40 points.
