Back from Thanksgiving and...WOW!

I had a great holiday....was wonderful to see my daughter who was home from University for a few days. Took her and my younger daughter ( 12yrs old) to see the new Twighlight movie. Personally, I think I liked the book alot better. I kinda dislike the actress playing Bella....I dont care for her monotone, flat way of speaking or the way the expression on her face rarely changes. Regardless, it was so nice to have time together as a family and we laughed and joked alot and had a very good Thanksgiving.
\r\nAnyway...coming back from Thanksgiving I see that I have alot of thank yous to express! Wow...you guys are so sweet. I am so happy that you have enjoyed my work so much...that is all the reward andy creator evern needs. Andrea1606, Pary, and Blunote00...I thnk you so much for the gifts. which I will use and enjoy and think of you when I do. I wish I had a way to write thank you notes personally to everyone and I have no way of knowing if you even read this little blog, but I will say it anyway because such kindness and generosity deserves every thank you I can give. Thank you so much.

This week is Thanksgiving holiday here in America and what that means to me is that first thing in the morning I will be driving 6 hours to go pick up my daughter from college so she can come home for a few days. She has not been home since school started, so she is really happy to be coming home...to sleep in her own bed...eat Moms home cooking...get together with friends from high school....see if the cats remember who she is...lol. I am just so happy to have her home for a few days. Even though we talk on the phone all the time...almost every day...it is not the same and I am waaaaay behind on hugs. I expect I will not be on line much at all this week, so now you know why. :) And now you know what I am very thankful for.....

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful thing for you to do...I am so surprsied! I was planning on doing a medieval village once we got the World Creator in December and the castle items will fit ito it perfectly. I am incredibly happy and i cant wait to start using them.....tons of ideas swirling in my head. Thank you SO much. :)

Yep......I know its not my usual thing, but I was inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge in a conceptual way and I really like what I have so far. I do have to admit, it doesnt come as easily as my Victorian or storybook builds...I have to think about it more and try alot of things before I hit on somthing I like....but its coming along. Its a good solid floorplan that will play well...always crucial to me....now I just need to polish it up and give it a hip modern vibe....if I can...lol. We will see....

I hae to admit...I was not that excited about it when it was first announced. Bon Voyage was not my favorite Ep for Sims2 and this seemed like the same thing...but it SO isnt. I fell in love with it when I went to the preview event.
\r\nThere is so much to do with this EP..the tomb exploration offers so much activity and the ability to make your own means that once you go through the tombs that come with the game, there will be plenty more on the Exchange to download and loot! And..if you are one of those who says \" this is a departure from the spirit of the Sims\" I can tell you it is not. The adventuring is done with all of the humor and goofiness you expect from the Sims. Our simmies might be playing Indiana Jones, but they are still as clumsy and hapless as ever. :)
\r\nIf you like building ( and you know I do!) there are tons of new items to play around with and the plants and flowers that come with this EP are just gorgeous. The new basement tool is going to make life so much easier on builders and it also opens up new possibilities as we no longer have to have a foundation to cover the basement AND we can go down 4 levels. I cant wait to see what people come up with....and I cant wait to start building.
