I am so glad I got this game. I have been having SO much fun with all the new interactions and seamless hood. I can\'t wait until they allow us to make our own hoods! That\'s gonna be one of my goals (which I never completed in Sims 2) - to make my own hood with all lots made by me. I wonder if we\'ll be able to make townies and not have to use our save slots for them? That\'s one thing I really do miss, being able to make sims and move them in without having to save them in a slot.

My simself had her first child yesterday. His name is Brendan

Yay! I was ssoo
tired last night that I didn\'t play much. Once I started playing today and got the hang of everything, I fell in love with the game. The game play is obviously different. Why would they make Sims 3 exactly like Sims 2? The whole purpose is for it to be different
.... and different it is! Yay!
****The only gripes I have are: ****
1. After they make their food, they leave it on the counter and go do something else. You have to click on the plate of food and select \"grab a plate\" in order for them to sit down and eat.
2. The speed when fast forwarding through actions needs to be faster! And the ultra speed definitely isn\'t very fast! It\'s almost equal to the 3rd speed.
****My likes and obsessions?****
1. I like that when the sims buy books/groceries, you can drag them from the sim\'s inventory into the fridge or onto the bookshelf.
2. The new CAS tool is fun! You can spend 5 minutes or an HOUR building a sim! It\'s really your choice.
3. The new build tools are AMAZING! Everything is so sleek and I love how you can virtually put things where ever you want to!
4. You can fit like 3 items on desks and end tables now. One of my endtables has an alarm clock and a lamp.. and my desk has a computer, pens and paper, and a lamp.
5. Love the little wish things. I like choosing them and being able to carry them out when I want to. They don\'t reset after sleeping/waking up.
6. They gave a whole lot more options for clothing and I think they\'re way better than what was offered in Sims 2.
7. That\'s really all for now, I\'m still exploring. :)

I couldn\'t make a decision. All day I kept playing it over and over in my head... go to Target at 8am or go to Wal-Mart at midnight? I had finally made the decision to wait until 8am and go to Target but then, lo and behold, I get home from class at 10:30 and change my mind... so I am now leaving in about 15 minutes to go and buy my copy of the Sims 3 at Wal-Mart! I really hope there\'s not a line though! I know the Target near me was getting 60 copies so I would imagine Wal-Mart would get about the same if not more.
In about an hour, I will be home installing my shiny copy and finally posting on the newly polished message boards! See you guys soon!
