Boy oh boy this seems to be the hardest part in starting a fansite! The two years of planning and work was nothing compared to promoting the site. Hours and hours go by why I promote and promote and promote!
I cannot wait until it promotes itself. Will give me some time to actually play the game.

I still update this one just not as much. Working on my very first lot for The Sims 3. It\'s a medium sized mansion and is quite nice. other than this I just have been really working hard on the site and giving members more options to play with. Forums are starting to pick up as well.

As with any new Sims 3 site there is always work to be done. Continuously updating and improving the site. I guess the new saying is Webmaster do not have a life!
It\'s just so much fun when you can create a website that people can enjoy. The Sims series has become my favorite game and continues to amaze me. I started out with Sims 2 then all the expansions and I really have a blast when I build homes.
Of course I love to play as well but right now my time is limited for playing because of running a fan site. No problem I will get to play more soon. Tonight I plan on adding The R0o Gifts where members can get gifts and just maybe be able to send other members gifts.

I have been working on The R0o and visiting some of my old hangouts on the net! Between breaks I head on over here to read the threads and post in what I am interested in.
The R0o needs your help on getting the forums and exchange rolling. We ask that everyone that is signed up at simaroo.com contribute one file and one post. If you do not make custom material then just introduce yourself on our forums.
We are planning to give away a copy of TS3 CE hopefully next week as soon as we work out the details.

Super Cell Thunderstorm+ Tornado

What a night! A huge storm rolled in causing me to not be online tonight. Just a few blocks from my house I watched a tornado come down out of the clouds. It lasted for about five minutes and thank god it went right back up after it hit the ground. Scared the bejeezes out of me. It was heading in my direction. Outlaw don\'t like tornado\'s but this is something you have to deal with when you live in tornado alley. Now I am back online!!!

Fellow Simmers\' we where originally going to give away a copy of The Sims 3 but have since come up with a better idea. Since most of you have the game already we figured we would give a few copies out of the very first The Sims 3 expansion.
Now I predict we will see this in about two months. All you have to do is register at www.simaroo.com and post one post, upload one file, upload one screenshot, upload one avatar, or just do anything that gives you R0o\'s. Now once the first expansion is announced we will set the deadline for the end of the contests. Right now would be the perfect time to register and start participating. We may also give away a copy of The Sims 3 in July.

Well now I have to go and create my sim again as it was removed from the exchange. maybe I was just waaay to hot for the exchange. or maybe I just looked like an EA employee.

Today I will be working on the game section of Simaroo
and the forums. I plan on making banners for people who want to advertise their profile in other forums. I slept until 11AM today so got plenty of energy as my mind is clear.

Well after a bunch of all nighters working on simaroo.com I can finally relax after it is done. What a project! what a site! Now it\'s time to have some fun and wait for the custom content to start rolling in.

SimARoo the most unique Sims 3 site on the planet! Go spend a little time reading about all the features we have added to make your member profile and your experience with the community just a happy place to be.
I am not going to go into details because you can read most of it on the site but make sure you sign up and redeem your $10,000 Roo bucks to get you off on the right track.
Be careful about going into the Casino trying to hit the jackpot you just might come out broke! The Casino will earn you Roo bucks that you can use for contests and for merchandise as the site grows.

Switched webhost what a nightmare!

Well after a day long battle with my web host I finally just canceled my account and move on to the wild blue yonder. Thier explanation for my site running so slow was your site is way to large!
LOL how funny. I have not even launched it yet and it has no traffic. I don\'t even have all the files up. I immediately pointed them to my exact same copy of the site on a another host and said look see how fast it loads.
So now I am uploading to a new host and might have to put the official launch up one last time. Now this site is going to be one of a kind so make sure you stick with me and come visit my blog here for the announcement.

Well I spent most of the day yesterday changing web hosts only to have issues because they put me on a server that is slower than my Grandma! I was going to be done with the site that I think you guys and gals will just love especially if you like free sites and not pay to download sites.
Well guess what? Today it is slower than a turtle! It makes my Grandma look fast! Now I ring them up on the phone and tell them hey man you gotta do something about this so I can launch the site. Their answer we are going to move you to a new server and it may take up to 24 hours.
I told them hey man remember I just signed up with you-all and this does not look good coming from my point of view.
So to get to the point! I cannot work on the site until they get it switched so hopefully they will get it done here in the next few hours so I can keep on schedule and launch at 9PM CST today!

Well I worked day and night to get this new thing done but I had to move to a better host today and encountered some minor issues that pushed the release date back until June 3,2009.
This is just not your average Sims 3 site. This site combines applications from Facebook and Twitter. The site will have a full exchange like you see over at TSR. It will have a Machinima area where you can upload all your videos.
Forums named after areas in the game and so on. Sorry for the delay but I want to get it all finished before release. I will be working through the night tonight.

Plumbob and ready boost

For those of you running Win Vista and above can use ready boost to speed up your system. You can do this on XP as well with a little work. Today I have been running around the house using my Plumbob above my head and my dogs head.

I was over at Snooty\'s and seen a post about some who are going to hit Walmart at 12:AM on MOnday night. For those that do not know Walmart may indeed stock there shelves after midnight. You should hit the 24 hour walmart if that makes any sense. :)
Anyhoo just becareful if you go I would hate to see a Sim flatten like a pancake!
