 Aww! At long last, the baby is born. Gabriel cuddles it close, rocking himself a little as rain begins to pour. "And Michael did not show," he murmurs. "I guess it's just you and me, little one." He cuddles the baby, keeping it warm and dry. He ponders what to do. |

 Meanwhile Over in the greenhouse, Michael feels a sudden clench in his gut. He grits his teeth, thinking it is far too early for the baby. But this sensation is very familiar, so he closes his eyes, taking a deep breath to calm himself. "It's too late to tell him," he murmurs. "I guess you are coming on your own schedule." Softly he rubs his belly, wincing as the clenches get stronger. "You are coming fast!" |

 Instincts Gabriel does what comes natural: he staggers into the forest. He wants to be alone, without Gamichial freaking out over the birth. His instincts guide him to a place of solitude, and safety. He curls up beneath a tree and lets it come, groaning softly and hugging himself. If Michael wants to join him, he surely can find him, Gabriel thinks. Assuming he even notices. He closes his eyes and endures the labor, wishing he were home. |

 Distance Gabriel never tells Michael about the baby. Michael is always distracted in the garden, and never seems to want to listen, or talk. Their s_x has become nonexistent, and Michael seems completely withdrawn. Gabriel suspects it's because of the blood. He made things uneasy, forcing it on him. But he only wanted to get his old Michael back, the fierce Brother he fought beside. Now things are even worse, and Michael keeps to himself. Then, one day, those familiar pains begin. Gabriel groans. |

 Some time passes Some time passes, and Michael keeps his mind at peace by gardening. He is keeping his family well-fed, and Gamichial is becoming a handsome young man. Plus, the fresh veggies encourage him to stay off the blood. Sadly, Gabriel has grown distant, for some reason, and it becomes so awkward that Michael never tells him about the pregnancy. It always seems to be the wrong time, or Gabriel is sick, or moody, or eating... or sick.... Come to think of it, why IS Gabriel throwing up so much? |

 Getting to know you... even though you're dead One of the now-resident ghosts catches Gamichial's eye. He smiles shyly at her across the yard. She smiles back, so Gamichial decides to go for it. He walks over to her and introduces himself--leaving out the part that his father killed her, to begin with. |

 Meanwhile Meanwhile, in another part of the house... Michael feels something moving inside him. His eyes grow wide, and he stands in shock for a few minutes. This has not happened to him in ages. He ponders calling out to Gabriel, but decides to keep it a secret. Gabriel is under enough stress, lately. He doesn't need the additional weight of a coming baby. "That's it, no more blood for me. This baby is going to be clean. I vow it!" Softly he rubs his own belly. "I promise YOU. " |

 Ghost! Michael brings Gabriel back inside, where ghosts are infesting the house. "This is your fault," he tells Gabriel. "These are all people you've killed. And you deserve it." --Gabriel shrugs. "It was worth killing them though. I'm reasonably sure they annoyed me." --Michael sighs. |
