In an effort to keep the public awareness regarding missing people, I create sims in the likeness of people who are missing. This is my effort to help and support the families of people who have disappeared.
It's entirely possible that a sim player will recognize someone, have information about the missing person and will make the call to help the family and police. These special sims will be tagged as a Missing Person and a brief description of the case will be added if possible. All of the names used are the actual names of a Missing Person and further info as well as contact info can be looked up online by doing a name search.
The actual job description of the missing persons is included when known and the traits of the sim mirror the person to the best of my ability when I have info as to their traits, most of the time I have to just blindly create traits.
It's not always possible to get an exact likeness but I try to get the hair color, eye color and skin tones as close as I can.
Sometimes I have to rely on police sketches or poor black and white photos. To me, the likeness is not really the point; keeping these people alive to the public is the most important aspect because someone out there knows something and the families need to know.
This is an effort born of the love of humankind and my need to do something to help those who suffer the neverending pain of wondering what happened to loved ones.

Why I seem to have joined the missing.
GEPOSTET AM 24.04.2011 00:18
After getting a handle on some health problems at long last, I decided that what I really needed was a new beginning. My marriage has been swirling in the toilet bowl of life for a number of years so I decided it was time to just flush it and move on. I\'m in the processing of moving to another state and it will take me a little while before I am ready to resume working for the families of the missing. I have missed the community and the work on behalf of families who still need answers so I am very much looking forward to resuming the missing Sims and even fighting with the EA Dowloader--I bought 2 expansion packs and they vanished somehow from that stupid, bug-infested downloader. Until then, happy simming to you all and I thank you for your prayers. Without a doubt they were heard. July 3, 2011 After having completed the move to Ocklawaha, FL and finally getting mostly settled in I found that my digital downloads of the last two expansions no longer work and I\'m getting base game errors AGAIN. Very frustrating. If I can manage to jump through the new and improved fiery hoops laid out by EA and get the digital games loaded, I can and will resume creating missing Sims.
A Thank You regarding my Autistic Daughter's Patterns
GEPOSTET AM 12.02.2011 15:34
Autism, in the form of high-functioning and Asperger\'s Syndrome, runs in my family. I have two daughters, they both have it and it affects both of them very differently. My oldest daughter is a human calculator, has almost a photographic memory, fluently speaks more than five languages and is fabulous cook who specializes in international cuisine. Always a serious, studious, quiet and observant child, she grew up to work for a federal agency. My youngest daughter is more of a free spirit. She is creative and paints/draws beautifully, speaks six languages fluently and reads heiroglyphics, she is a talented baker who specializes in pastries and cake decorating. Both girls have struggled with social interactions because they are blunt and honest when they speak to others. One might think that is a good thing and in some situations it can be. The downside is trying to explain to a small child that her friend won\'t speak to her anymore because, when she was asked, my daughter said the friend\'s new haircut looked terrible. After years of trying, I have concluded that an autistic child cannot be taught to schmooze, it\'s impossible. I was in my 40s before I was correctly diagnosed as autistic. The Sims games were instrumental in helping my youngest daughter to gain a grasp of cause and effect. She loves the Sims and after watching me make some patterns, she wanted to make some as well. Her computer is old and can\'t run Sims 3 so she used my computer to create the Orange Lace and Bows, Gothic Lattice, Ribbons and Flowers, and the Flower and Bow Stripe. This blog post is to say Thank You to all who have downloaded my daughter\'s patterns--she sees your downloading her patterns as a means of social acceptance/approval and you have made her happy.
