Happy New Year... almost two months later.

Well, it's been a while since my last blog, obviously.  Not that anyone at all reads this thing, but I have been around.  I just sort of lost interest in posting my legacy on the exchange.  Really, it's quite a lot of hassle to post in two places every time I update, although I did enjoy seeing a few recommendations here and there.

I doubt I'll be posting here again any time soon because I'm lazy, so if you do happen to be the one unfortunate person who accidentally ends up here by some force of fate, you can find my legacy, The Creeper Legacy, at http://scarletsimphony.wordpress.com/

Cheers!

Story Progression is Progressing!

Brr, I'm cold!

I've only just discovered Twallan's Story Progression mod tonight.  I've been playing with AwesomeMod and the unsupported IndieStone for a while now.  Even though it's still pretty much in testing, Twallan's mod seems pretty darn good, and stable enough to play with.  I've backed up my files and really want to fiddle with my new toy right NOW, but it's 4 am and I really should be sleeping, since my kids are, lol.

I did get to play for about three seconds as I got a screenshot for my friend.  I have to say I was impressed.  In that fragment of time, right after I was told the mod was working, Holly Alto (who had been homeless with her parents for the past three weeks), moved in with Dorie Hart.  A weird move, admittedly, but quick!  And a good one, because Holly Alto has a right to get married and have babies.  Her parents?  They can stay where they're at.  I don't really care.

Tomorrow, after I get some sleep (I've been running on empty, but really can't even tell at all.  My body thrives on TS3?), TS3 and I have a date.  And then later, Glee and I have a date.  If you haven't watched Glee yet, you should.

Anyway, enough nonsensical rambling.  My nice warm bed beckons.  By the way, it's ridiculous to have to pay five extra dollars just to pay your electric bill online.  Grr.

Night!

Hooray for getting high... graphics!

I've found a way to play with high grahics settings now.  It's exciting, haha.  Still looking forward to my new computer, though, so my sims can own TVs and computers.  And go out a little more.  Poor things.

I guess I'm a good graphics snob or something, I dunno.  When I do storytelling, I like to have good pictures.  Is that so wrong?!

The Sims 3, finally.

I've finally managed to convince myself that even though my laptop doesn't quite meet the system requirements to run The Sims 3, I can still play the game.  I won't have amazing graphics and my sims won't be able to own TVs, but at least I'll get to fiddle around with the basics.  I'm not sure when I'll be getting my new computer, but I'm hoping it's soon.  I adore seeing everyone's gorgeous pictures of scenery and would love to be able to see that on my screen as well, but until then I'll just get used to gameplay.

So, off I go to play the game!  Happy simming!
