My Story:
Hi, my name is Alan i'm 14 and i love playing the sims. I am in love with dvd boxsets, ie. American Dad, Two and a Half Men, Futurama etc. Haha, I sound like a total nerd, but I am not. I always like hanging out with my friends, going to the cinema, hanging around outside mcdonalds( no, not eating there, just hanging outside lol! and having a good time. I love swimming and hurling. (its an irish thing. haha! I think each player of the sims plays it differently. I mean, some only make clothes, some only play the game, some only decorate houses, and some are like me and nearly only build houses. I dream of becoming an architect, so that would probably be my lifetime wish if I were a sim, lol. If only Sims 3 had that career. :( So, if you like my items on the exchange, please download and recommend them. =]

Sims 3: My late review

POSTED ON 11/01/09 09:08 PM

Hello. Ok, so I thought I\'d share my thoughts on the game that made me waste my entire summer. Here go\'s. :)

\r\n

Ok, so when I heard about it first, I was not excited really and very annoyed about all the money I wasted on sims 2 games( EVERY SINGLE one) and told myself not to buy it. Then as saw trailer number two, and that convinced me right then and there. Then the release was delayed and I was so depressed. For about ten minutes. I said to myself who cares? I have a life. SO my enthusiasm increased (unwillingly) over the months and I was counting down the release date. I bought it on the first day, and couldn\'t wait to get home to play it and read the manual cover to cover in the car ride home. So I realised that my video card was awful and I couldnt play. The anticipation was killing me. So I went and bought a new one.

\r\n

\r\n

When I installed it all my sms 2 skills seemed to wash away. Also, I was annoyed to see a LOADING SCREEN that was as long and tedious as previous sims games, when the developers said there would be none, but I guess I misunderstood. Anyways, I enjoyed it hugely for quite a while, and for the first time I started to share my creations on various websites, and that sustained my enthusiasm for the building, as I NEVER (and still don\'t) actually play the game.

\r\n

\r\n

So here I am now, five months later, and my enthusiasm has almost vanished. The game has lost its polish and attractiveness and I find it being kind of like a chore. I mean, it seems like EA put no LOVE into the game. The sims 3 is just eye candy. One thing that still gets to me about it is something minor to others, but really significant to me: The ITEM DESCRIPTIONS!! They are cheap and unfunny, and not clever as opposed to the sims 2 ones, which were clever and truly witty.

\r\n

CONCLUSION AND FINAL THOUGHTS:

\r\n

So, EA only thought about making money and not about satisfying us in the long term. You can really tell that MAXIS or Will Wright are not involved in this game, and they are the people who made the game what it is. I maybe would have preferred them not making sims 3, overall. I mean, I love the customisation and unique characters and stuff, and how you can co-ordinate everything, but that dosn\'t satisfy me, while sims 2 did.

I am going to give the game 2.5/5 (50%) as the game gets boring and theres pretty much no atmosphere at all, and I have no memories so far apart from  a wasted summer.

Making an effort WIN

So, it was announced that TS3 developers are releasing the create a world tool, which I thing is dope. Thanks EA, for not still being stodgy idiots. Now I\'m looking forward to World Adventures.
