Hi, I'm Aarin. You may know me from such threads as "Ask Aarin: Attack of the Story Progression Clones" and its' equally successful prequel "Ask Aarin: the Autonomous Journey Home." I created the "Ask Aarin" thread because I wanted to have a central area where I could cull answers to commonly asked questions. I, myself, do not particularly enjoy asking questions as I am more of a lurker/researcher and especially cannot stand it when people share misinformation. I do not consider myself the foremost expert in anything and always welcome new input and information from others whenever possible! I hope you've learned at least one thing from the thread that you did not know previously, as really that is the only thing that makes the thread worth its space on the internets.
I played the Sims 1 up until Vacation EP. I skipped over the entirety of the Sims 2. I mostly play console games and MMOs. I have an innate love for monotonous things (virtual collecting, gardening, etc) and player customization. I cancelled my WoW account in June. I had been raiding four or five days a week since the Burning Crusade EP as a restoration shaman and am currently sitting in T7.5/T8. As I am without delusions, I'm certain I will return to the game some day when they release a new raid instance.
Things I love:
- retro everything; patterns, colours, floorplans. 1930s-60s are a favourite
- most of the geometric patterns
- wrap-around porches, balconies
- gazebos
- conversation pits
- separate dining rooms
- small lots
- grey, puke green, burnt orange
- plastic
